Adele ‘lost seven stone with help of fitness guru recommended by Lady Gaga’ | Daily Mail Online

Adele reportedly called in the help of a fitness guru who trained Lady Gaga and hired a personal chef in her quest to lose seven stone.

The singer – who recently stunned the world by sharing a snap of her incredible transformation – reportedly took advice from LA-based trainer Harley Pasternak, who has also worked with the likes of Rihanna and Katy Perry.

It’s also claimed that Adele, 32, hired a personal chef on the advice of her Hollywood pal Cameron Diaz because she’s ‘not a fan of cooking.’

Changes: Adele, 32, reportedly called in the help of a fitness guru who trained Lady Gaga and hired a personal chef in her quest to lose seven stone

A source told The Sunday Mirror that Harley suggested Adele follow a fitness regime which included 35-minute training sessions five times a week.

They said: ‘Adele is feeling incredible at the moment and her weight loss is due to a lot of things but she is also been getting tips from Harley.

‘Lady Gaga told her how brilliant Harley was. And that convinced Adele to get in touch.’

It was then reported that Adele hired chef Jason Harley to create her healthy dishes, following claims she had been following the 1,000-a-day Sirtfood diet.

The source added: ”She would have a green juice in the morning then work out. The she wouldn’t usually eat until 3pm or 4pm so she was also doing a lot of intermittent fasting.’

MailOnline has contacted representatives for Adele for comment.

On Thursday Adele’s former personal trainer spoke out about her weight loss, insisting her body transformation was never about ‘getting super skinny’.

The singer had showed off her incredible seven stone weight loss in a tight black minidress in a rare Instagram snap on Tuesday.

Her former trainer Pete Geracimo has now told how it was disheartening to see ‘fat-phobic accusations’ against Adele before her dramatic weight loss.

WHAT IS THE SIRTFOOD DIET?

The Sirtfood Diet is based on sirtuins (SIRTs), a group of seven proteins

It focuses on plant foods which help to suppress appetite and activate the body’s ‘skinny gene’

Followers of the diet go through two diet cycles that last for three weeks

Recommended Sirtfoods include: Kale, red wine, strawberries, onions, soy and dark chocolate (85% cocoa)

The diet has been criticised for failing to provide any long-term benefits

Taking to Instagram, he wrote: ‘As Adele’s former London-based personal trainer, it’s disheartening to read negative commentary and fat-phobic accusations questioning the genuineness of her amazing weight loss.

‘In my personal experience of working with her through many highs and lows, she always marched to the beat of her own drum on her own terms.

‘She never undermined her God-given talent by reducing herself to expose her flesh or be the over the top sexy vixen to sell albums. She let her voice do the talking, or should I say singing!

‘She never once pretended to be something that she wasn’t. What you saw was what you got. And we all LOVED it!

‘When Adele and I started our journey together, it was never about getting super skinny. It was about getting her healthy. Especially post pregnancy and post surgery. When 25 dropped and the tour announced, we had to get ready for a 13 month gruelling schedule.

‘In that time, she warmed to training and made better food choices. As a result, she lost considerable weight and people took notice. Her body transformation was splashed across every media outlet. The attention it generated was mind-blowing.’

Incredible: Adele’s friend Lauren Paul shared this throwback to when they were in Vegas together, along with Nicole Richie and Jedidiah Jenkins as she wished her a happy birthday

The trainer also noted Adele has been through ‘tough personal changes’ since she moved to Los Angeles.

The singer’s big reveal came after she split from her husband Simon Konecki in April 2019 and filed for divorce in September.

Pete wrote: ‘Since she moved to LA, it’s been well documented that she underwent some tough personal changes. It’s only natural that with change comes a new sense of self and wanting to be your best possible version.

‘She embraced better eating habits and committed to her fitness and ‘is sweating!’ I could not be prouder or happier for her!

‘This metamorphosis is not for album sales, publicity or to be a role model. She is doing it for herself and for Angelo.

Long-term pals: Lauren also shared this throwback picture of herself hugging Adele while they were out on a road trip

‘My hope is that people appreciate the hard work that Adele has done to improve herself for the benefit to her and her family only. She did not lose the weight to make others feel bad about themselves.

‘This personal transformation has nothing to do with me or you. It’s about Adele and how she wants to live her life. She has not changed from the Adele we grew up with and have loved. There is just a little less of her to go around.

‘Just think, now that she is more fit and more fabulous, she might tour again! WIN-WIN!!!!’

MailOnline has contacted a representative for Adele for comment.

Split: The singer’s big reveal came after she split from her husband Simon Konecki in April 2019 and filed for divorce in September (pictured in 2013)

Adele and Simon share a seven-year-old son called Angelo and a People insider revealed her weight loss came partly from a desire to be healthier for her child.

‘She got to the point where she didn’t feel great. She knew she had to change something, because she wants to be the healthiest mom possible,’ said the source.

The insider added: ‘Her whole focus during the weight loss journey has really been all about how she can be healthier and how can she treat her body better. It was never about losing weight.’

A friend previously said the split had given her a new lease of life.

They told The Sun: ‘Adele has been out enjoying herself and she sees that as her priority at the moment, along with being a mum to Angelo.

‘She has been loving her new workout regime and it really works for her. It’s a bonus that she has shifted some weight.

‘Her mates are glad she’s letting loose and there’s nothing but good feelings towards her. She’s got a new lease of life.’

Change: Adele and Simon share a seven-year-old son called Angelo and a People insider revealed her weight loss came partly from a desire to be healthier for her child (pictured in June 2013)

Adele and Simon first began dating in 2011 and welcomed their son the following year in 2012.

The pair then married four years later, wedding in secret, with Adele choosing to address their wedding for the first time during an acceptance speech at the Grammys in 2017.

Adele first confirmed her split from Simon in April 2019 and filed for divorce in September, with her ex reportedly agreeing to joint custody of their son Angelo just days later.

A month after filing for divorce, Adele was romantically linked to British rapper and Grime artist Skepta, but it was claimed their relationship was never ‘serious’.

In December, reports surfaced suggesting Adele has since ‘grown closer’ to US record producer Jonathan Hay, who she is thought to have met earlier this year in New York at Quad Recording Studios.

Different: Adele has always looked beautiful but looks drastically different to when she appeared at London’s Brit Awards in February 2016

Last year, Adele embarked on another astonishing transformation with The Sun reporting in June that she was doing reformer Pilates with Robbie Williams’s wife Ayda Field.

Her new figure is also reportedly partly due to the Sirtfood Diet, which Glen Matten and Aidan Goggins debuted in a book in 2016.

The diet reportedly allows Adele to indulge in red wine and coffee while stressing a regime of plant products like turmeric, kale, buckwheat and green tea.

Sensation: Her birthday picture marked Adele’s first Instagram upload since she stunned the world with her new svelte frame in photos from her Christmas party last year

These items are said to activate a person’s sirtuins, also known as ‘housekeeping genes,’ which suppress appetite by controlling bodily response to sugar and fat.

This January Adele’s former personal trainer ‘Brazilian body wizard’ Camila Goodis appeared on Lorraine and shed light on how the singing star took the pounds off.

‘She’s working out but I think 90% of it is diet,’ said Camila, a 31-year-old who is based out of Los Angeles.

‘It’s a good diet to shed the weight. The first week is intense, green juices and only 1,000 calories. She doesn’t look too thin – she looks amazing.’

Camila told The Sun she met Adele through Ayda, who has been married since 2010 to English musician Robbie Williams of Take That fame.

Smashing: This January Adele’s former personal trainer ‘Brazilian body wizard’ Camila Goodis (pictured) appeared on Lorraine and shed light on how the singing star took the pounds off

She theorized Adele ‘has probably cut out processed foods and is eating soy and other plant-based foods.’

The fitness trainer added: ‘She’s found a diet that works for her. She looks younger and, more importantly, she looks happy.’

Back in February, a health expert on British daytime TV show, This Morning, suggested Adele’s alleged ‘1000-calorie-a-day’ diet isn’t sustainable in the long term.

Food writer, Dale Pinnock – aka the Medicinal Chef – warned the diet could have adverse side effects such as brain fog and irritability.

Dale explained: ‘If you’ve got a short-term goal that kind of approach could be very, very suitable – if you want to lose weight for a wedding or holiday.

‘But it isn’t sustainable. There will be a cut off because after a while your body will start to down regulate the things it will do.’

He reminded people at home that the recommended daily intake for a woman is between 1,800 and 2,000 calories.

‘[The body’s] top priority is survival, after a couple of weeks you won’t be as active, you’ll find that you get brain fog and become irritable, it kicks in quite quickly.

‘Slow and steady wins the race, definitely – find something that you can stick to.’

As seen last year: Last June the Sun reported Adele was doing reformer Pilates with trainer Ayda Field (right) who has been married to Robbie Williams (left) of Take That fame since 2010

Last Thursday Adele’s makeup artist of 12 years Michael Ashton posted an Instagram snap of her and wrote: ”BTW…. EXCITING NEWS COMING SOON!!’

His cryptic caption sent fans into a tizz as they theorized that he was hinting at new music from Adele, whose most recent album 25 was released in 2015.

Earlier last month Adele was Live on Instagram with producers Babyface and Teddy Riley, and as their stream got repeatedly interrupted by glitches she cracked: Come on, it’s 2020 – we ain’t meant to get what we want!’

Although Adele’s next album is slated to drop this September her quip led some fans to worry that the release may be pushed until 2021.

BLACKPINK’s Collab With Lady Gaga Finally Has A Release Date—Here’s Everything We Know About The Song

Last month, it was revealed that all the rumors about BLACKPINK collaborating with Lady Gaga were true. However, after Gaga postponed the release of her album, BLINKs were itching to find out just when we’d all get the hear the collab magic. Now, Lady Gaga has finally announced the track’s release date. Here’s everything we know about the song so far.

The BLACKPINK and Lady Gaga collaboration track is titled “Sour Candy”, which definitely sounds perfect for the group’s “black meets pink” concept. The song will appear on Gaga’s latest album, Chromatica.

So far, neither Lady Gaga nor YG Entertainment have confirmed much regarding the song. One thing we do know is who made it: BloodPop, Madison Love, Burns, Rami, and Lady Gaga herself.

It seems that this is the full list of producers, contradicting BLINKs’ earlier speculation that Tommy Brown (who worked on some of Ariana Grande’s biggest hits) may have been involved. Brown recently talked about his experience recording in the studio with BLACKPINK.

Prior to that, many wondered if Grammy-winning producer Ryan Tedder was involved. In March, he confirmed that he would be working with BLACKPINK. He also told the media that he’d been working on a song with BloodPop that would feature on Lady Gaga’s new album.

According to one insider on a music forum, “Sour Candy” is actually the shortest song on Chromatica. However, none of the track lengths have been confirmed yet.

Thankfully, you’ll be able to find out for yourself in just a few weeks. According to Lady Gaga’s update today, Chromatica will be released on May 29.

The journey continues. You can officially join me on #Chromatica on May 29. https://t.co/GjJUC3PRWz pic.twitter.com/VFIcMw2JE4

According to Lady Gaga, the album title Chromatica refers to all the colors of the chromatic scale and how they represent inclusivity. So, it’s possible that the colors black and pink could play into “Sour Candy” in some way.

This will be BLACKPINK’s second major collaboration. “Kiss and Make Up”, a collab with British singer Dua Lipa, was released in October 2018 and received Silver certification in the United Kingdom last year.

“Sour Candy” will be the 10th track on Lady Gaga’s album. Chromatica also features two more high-profile collaborations—“Rain on Me” with Ariana Grande, and “Sine From Above” with Elton John.

Lady Gaga Performs “The Prayer” With Celine Dion And Andrea Bocelli

As a part of Global Citizen’s ‘One World: Together At Home’ broadcast for coronavirus relief, Lady Gaga, Celine Dion, Andrea Bocelli, John Legend, and pianist Lang Lang came together to perform “The Prayer.” This song was the closing number for the virtual performance that was streamed Saturday, April 18th.

“The Prayer” was originally performed by Celine Dion and Andrea Bocelli back in 1999, but Lady Gaga, John Legend, and Lang Lang have decided to add a fresh twist to this classic for the ‘Together At Home’ broadcast.

The celebrities all abided by social distancing guidelines by performing via webstream from the comfort of their own homes. Everyone wore all back, except for Dion, who caught viewers’ eyes in a blue suit.

Lady Gaga didn’t only just perform for the Global Citizen event, she also helped curate many artists and celebrity appearances. Celebrities in attendance included Beyoncé, Taylor Swift, Jennifer Lopez, former first ladies Michelle Obama and Laura Bush, Oprah Winfrey, Priyanka Chopra Jones, Sarah Jessica Parker, Kerry Washington, and many others.

Lady Gaga also took to her Twitter and Instagram to share updates as she watched the event from home and cheered on other performers. She posted an Instagram shoutout to her fellow fundraisers that included her boyfriend, Michael Polansky.

The ‘Together At Home’ event was first announced by Global Citizen earlier in April, and even before the live stream they had begun successful fundraising for COVID-19 relief efforts.

What do you think of their new version of “The Prayer?” Did you tune in live to watch the performance? Which song was your favorite? Let us know your thoughts and be sure to pass this on to others so they don’t miss the fresh version of this beloved classic!

What can’t Lady Gaga do? With ample free time after delaying new album Chromatica, the star put on her glasses to organize a star-studded first-of-its-kind coronavirus special, One World: Together at Home. She’s already brought together the three major late-night hosts to emcee and worked with Global Citizen to raise a nice $35 million for the World Health Organization, since the show itself isn’t a benefit. Now, she’s curated a new, top-tier slate of artists to join the special, including Taylor Swift, Jennifer Lopez, Oprah Winfrey, Usher, Ellen DeGeneres, Pharrell Williams, Matthew McConaughey, Lupita Nyong’o, Amy Poehler, Celine Dion, Awkwafina, and Alicia Keys. They join the already announced lineup that includes Paul McCartney, Stevie Wonder, Alanis Morissette, Elton John, Idris and Sabrina Elba, John Legend, Billie Eilish and Finneas, Lizzo, Andrea Bocelli, Kacey Musgraves, and Chris Martin. And those are just the highlights.

If none of those celebrities strike your fancy, maybe you should check out the six-hour livestream that will precede the special. It’ll feature Adam Lambert, Andra Day, Annie Lennox, Ben Platt, Billy Ray Cyrus, Charlie Puth, Christine and the Queens, Common, Don Cheadle, Ellie Goulding, Heidi Klum, Hozier, Jack Black, Jameela Jamil, Jennifer Hudson, Jessie J, Kesha, Lady Antebellum, Leslie Odom Jr., Liam Payne, Maren Morris, Matt Bomer, Megan Rapinoe, Niall Horan, Rita Ora, Samuel L. Jackson, Sarah Jessica Parker, Sheryl Crow, the Killers, and Tim Gunn, among others. Catch the livestream on April 18 on YouTube, Amazon Prime, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, Apple, Twitch, or Tidal beginning at 2 p.m. ET. The special kicks off at 8 p.m. that night on ABC, NBC, CBS, and the CW and will be broadcast on various global channels as well.

Lady Gaga on Wanting Marriage and Kids Amid Michael Polansky Relationship

Lady Gaga spoke candidly to InStyle about her career aspirations as the release date for her new album Chromatica draws near, along with her hopes for her personal life. The 34-year-old singer is very much looking forward to being a wife and mother someday. (Gaga is currently dating Michael Polansky; they went public with their relationship in February. They were first seen together at the end of last year.)

When asked what she wants out of life, Gaga said, “Marriage. More music, more movies, more charity with the Born This Way Foundation [a nonprofit dedicated to empowering youth and supporting mental health and wellness]. I want to do way more philanthropy. I want to help fund more research about fibromyalgia and neuropathic and chronic pain by putting a team of doctors together. I have a lot of dreams and hopes. What I will actually accomplish, I have no idea, but I know that I’ll be doing it with the people I love.”

She added later that she wants to be a parent. “I will say I am very excited to have kids,” the singer said. “I look forward to being a mom. Isn’t it incredible what we can do? We can hold a human inside and grow it. Then it comes out, and it’s our job to keep it alive. It’s so funny—everyone works out of my house every day. When they come in, I always say, ‘Welcome to the Womb!'”

The singer is also thankful for her journey in music. “I feel very grateful for what I’ve been a part of and what I’ve been invited to be a part of,” she said. “All these artistic experiences made me who I am today. It’s like when people get married and say, ‘Through thick and thin.’ That’s how I feel about myself. I feel like, ‘You know what, Gaga? You know what, Stefani? In sickness and in health, I’m with you, and I’m going to hold your hand whatever the outcome.'”
