Amber Heard expected to testify on Monday in Johnny Depp case

Amber Heard is expected to testify Monday in the explosive libel case brought by ex Johnny Depp against a British newspaper tabloid.

In the past two weeks, Heard has been ripped from the witness box by everyone from the “Pirates of the Caribbean” star to his workers, who have accused her of being the physical aggressor in the doomed pair’s twisted short-lived marriage.

As Depp’s camp has fought to disprove The Sun’s claim that he was a “wife-beater” during his marriage to Heard, as alleged in a 2018 article, tales about the pair’s bizarre, destructive antics both in and out of the bedroom have taken center stage.

Heard’s testimony will kick off the third and expected final week in the case.

Johnny Depp reveals why his marriage went down the toilet

Johnny Depp testified in British court Tuesday that then-wife Amber Heard may have once pooped in their bed as a “prank.”

The “Pirates of the Caribbean” actor said in a previously written statement read in court on the first day of his libel case that the actress or “possibly one of her friends” put the feces there — and that Heard later claimed it was “just a harmless prank,” Britain’s Mirror said.

Depp said the disgusting incident occurred after a party for Heard’s 30th birthday in their Los Angeles penthouse in May 2016 — and following a blow-up between the stormy couple.

“I understand that the following morning [after the party], Ms Heard (or possibly one of her friends) defecated in our shared bed,” Depp said, according to the statement.

“On 12 May 2016, Ms Heard confessed to our estate manager, Kevin Murphy, that leaving the feces in the bed had been ‘just a harmless prank,’ thereby effectively acknowledging that she had been responsible, whereas she had previously sought to blame our dogs,” the “Edward Scissorhands” star said.

But Depp said the poop couldn’t have been the work of the pair’s tiny Yorkshire teacup terriers because they were too small to jump up on the high bed and besides, their poo would have been a lot smaller.

Depp said that’s when he decided to divorce Heard, whom he has been locked in a vicious public battle with for several years, even after their official split in 2017.

Depp is testifying as part of a libel suit he filed against Britain’s The Sun over a 2018 article in which the paper called him a “wife-beater.”

The actor told the court that he has gotten violent and “taken every drug known to man” — but insisted he has never hit a woman, adding that Heard is the one who got physical with him.

Depp’s camp first made the bedroom feces allegation against Heard in 2018, when the UK’s Mirror reported that the incident occurred.

The actor and his wife had a blow-up the night before, and Depp stormed out of the pad, where the housekeeper found the feces the next day, the paper said.

A Depp source told the Mirror at the time that there was “strong, photographic evidence that connected Amber to the feces.”

A Heard rep scoffed at the notion, blaming the poo on her pooch Boo.

The dog has “serious bowel-control issues,” the rep said. “There was never a joke, it wasn’t something done to be disrespectful.

“It was an innocent thing, it’s what pets will do.”

Alice Cooper Wants Johnny Depp To Play Him In A Biopic And It Needs To Happen

If you are a rock fan, there is no way you would not have heard the name of Alice Cooper. One of the biggest names in rock history, Cooper has had a successful career spanning over 50 years and it is a sheer testament to the legendary status he has achieved over the years. With a remarkable career as long as that, it is quite common that fans expect a biopic.

Be it, Freddie Mercury or Elton John, biopics have always been a great alternate way to immortalize one’s work. And now in a recent interview with Yahoo Entertainment, Alice Cooper was asked who he’d like to play him in a biopic. The answer was not very surprising, considering he chose Johnny Depp, a Hollywood icon who knows the craft of acting more than most people around.

“And if Johnny Depp were just better looking, he could play me…” – Alice Cooper

LMAO these two ?

— mandy (@queenbpip)

According to NME, it all happened in 2012, when Cooper met Johnny Depp on the set of the movie “Dark Shadows.” The rock icon even had a cameo in that movie. Both the legends built their friendship from there and soon found themselves playing in the same band together, Hollywood Vampires.

Got to chat with @alicecooper for @yahooent and my pet snake sat in. She was starstruck & speechless! We talked #snakes, #WaynesWorld, #MuppetShow, #SgtPepper & more. Scroll to the bottom of article for the extended nearly hour-long interview! https://t.co/EGj24bgARM

When Cooper was initially asked if he’d actually wanted a biopic, he responded: “I hope it’s not of those where we get to die first… Usually it’s gonna happen with bands that were extremely commercially successful, whereas Alice was successful and we sold a lot of records, but I did not appeal to everybody.”

“I was definitely on the darker side. And I think that it would make a great movie, myself. And if Johnny Depp were just better looking, he could play me,” he joked.

“Who do you envision playing you in a movie?” is a question everybody gets, and it’s one Alice Cooper has given some thought to, and the answer for him is Johnny Depp.

Cooper continued: “Johnny would be the best guy to play me because he really likes to take those characters that nobody else wants to play. And he loves prosthetics — he would get my nose in there and the whole thing like that. He knows me well enough now where he could imitate me pretty well, I’m pretty sure.”

Sounds good! Johnny can adapt to pretty much any character and he knows Alice Cooper very well.

As soon as the internet got to know about this interview, they couldn’t contain their excitement and even said this biopic needs to happen. One Twitter user said: “I can see that. Alice looks incredible for his age. Johnny just looks incredible.” Meanwhile, another user said: “That would be totally awesome.!! Would absolutely love love to see it. Johnny would blow it out of the water. The exact same way he does all his movies. A third quipped in saying: Who wouldn’t want Johnny Depp to play the lead role in their life story.

Even at the age of 72, Alice Cooper seems like he is not done with music anytime soon. The iconic rockstar recently shared a new song titled ‘Don’t Give Up’, that is about the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. “It’s a song about what we’ve all been going through right now and about keeping our heads up and fighting back together,” Cooper said in a statement. “And whatever you do – Don’t Give Up!”

Would you like to see Johnny Depp play Alice Cooper in his biopic? Let us know!

Johnny Depp, Jeff Beck Unveil Cover of John Lennon’s ‘Isolation’ – Rolling Stone

Johnny Depp and Jeff Beck shared a heavy take on John Lennon’s “Isolation,” which marks the pair’s debut single as a duo after they spent the past few years working on music together behind the scenes.

The tune finds the pair transforming Lennon’s tidy piano rocker into a moody, bluesy ripper. On guitar, Beck drifts effortlessly, as always, from nimble picking to scorching heroics, while Depp delivers a sturdy vocal performance, bellowing: “The sun will never disappear/ But the world may not have many years/Isolation.” The “Isolation” cover also features two longtime Beck collaborators, Vinnie Colaiuta on drums and Rhonda Smith on bass.

Depp and Beck made their live debut last September at Eric Clapton’s Crossroads Guitar Festival in Texas, and have performed their rendition of “Isolation” live several times since then. This new studio version was also recorded last year, and in a statement, Beck said he and Depp decided to release it early as people continue to self-quarantine amid the coronavirus pandemic: “We weren’t expecting to release it so soon, but given all the hard days and true ‘isolation’ that people are going through in these challenging times, we decided now might be the right time to let you all hear it.”

Depp added: ” Lennon’s poetry — ‘We’re afraid of everyone. Afraid of the Sun!’ — seemed to Jeff and me especially profound right now, this song about isolation, fear, and existential risks to our world. So we wanted to give it to you, and hope it helps you make sense of the moment or just helps you pass the time as we endure isolation together.”

Beck and Depp are reportedly prepping more music, although it’s unclear when it will arrive or in what form. “You’ll be hearing more from Johnny and me in a little while,” Beck said in his statement, “but until then, we hope you find some comfort and solidarity in our take on this Lennon classic.”

Johnny Depp Is Perfect for Joker in The Batman Says Kevin Smith

Following a piece of excellent fan art depicting actor and Pirates of the Caribbean star Johnny Depp as Batman villain the Joker, filmmaker Kevin Smith has now chimed in stating that he is very keen to see Depp take on the role in the upcoming DC movie, The Batman.

Kevin Smith remains a pretty well-respected authority on all things Batman, and while speaking on a recent episode of his podcast, he addressed the rumor that Johnny Depp is currently in talks to take on another role featuring garish make-up and hair, the Joker, in director Matt Reeves’ upcoming comic book caper.

Smith declared that Johnny Depp would be “f-cking perfect” for the role of the Clown Prince of Crime, but did downplay the possibility that the character would even be appearing in the movie as there has been no mention of this until now. He did point out though that it would certainly be a lot of fun should Depp land the part, whether that be for this movie or any future sequels.

There have been rumors circulating for the last few weeks that Johnny Depp could be poised to join the cast of The Batman as arch-enemy the Joker, with recent fanart depicting perfectly what he could end up looking like, and why this could well be a great casting choice. Depp is considered to be one of the more popular faces in Hollywood, and as of 2018 was the third-highest-grossing actor in the world thanks to roles in franchises such as Pirares of the Caribbean, Alice in Wonderland and the Fantastic Beasts series.

There is no doubt that Johnny Depp could do well in the role, with the actor having a particular affinity for off-the-wall characters who usually disguise his leading-man looks under masks and make-up. The actor has also proven time and again his talent for more grounded drama in movies like Donnie Brasco, demonstrating that Depp easily has the ability to carry-off both competing parts of the character.

Of course, the role of the Joker continues to be one that is coveted by actors in Hollywood, with Heath Ledger having won a posthumous Academy Award for his performance in 2008’s The Dark Knight, while Joaquin Phoenix swept up during last awards season for his spell-binding portrayal of the character in director Todd Phillips’ Joker.

As to whether the character will show up in The Batman, this seems very unlikely due to the number of villains that the movie already plans to introduce. Robert Pattinson’s Caped Crusader already has to contend with Zoe Kravtiz’s Catwoman, Paul Dano as The Riddler, Colin Farrel as The Penguin, not to mention all of Gotham’s gangsters which includes John Turturro as Carmine Falcone.

For the time being, Warner Bros. has put the production of The Batman on hold due to growing concerns over the coronavirus outbreak. The production was due to be moved from London to Liverpool, but the studio confirmed recently that work will stop in order to promote the safety of the cast and crew.

This comes to us from Kevin Smith’s official Youtube channel. The Johnny Depp as Joker fan art comes from Death Streak Art on Instagram.

Johnny Depp may reprise role as for sixth Pirates Of The Caribbean film | Daily Mail Online

Johnny Depp may be reprising his role as the beloved Captain Jack Sparrow for Disney’s sixth installment of the Pirates Of The Caribbean franchise.

Due to recent ‘revelations’ made in the court case between Depp and ex wife Amber Heard, Disney executive have allegedly been ‘lobbying’ for the 56-year-old actor’s return, We Got This Covered reported on Sunday.

Back in 2016, it was rumored that Disney purposely attempted to ‘distance’ themselves from Depp when abuse allegations made by Heard were made public.

Jack is back? A new report released by We Got You Covered on Sunday revealed that Johnny Depp may be reprising his role as Captain Jack Sparrow in Disney’s sixth installment of the Pirates Of The Caribbean franchise; Depp photographed in Germany on February 21

Pictures of Heard’s face adorned with bruises, which she claimed were caused by Depp throwing his phone at her, were later published.

Depp denied the claims, but Heard received a $5 million payout from the actor upon signing a non-disclosure agreement, as part of the couple’s divorce settlement.

‘The recent turn of events in Depp’s legal battle and the overwhelming support from the public in his favor has some of the Mouse House executives now lobbying for his return behind the scenes,’ wrote We Got This Covered.

Depp first portrayed the iconic role back in 2001 in Disney’s Pirates Of The Carribean: The Curse Of The Black Pearl.

He would go on to reprise the role in four Pirates films that followed.

Back in October, Disney announced they would be creating a new Pirates Of The Caribbean chapter with the help of Chernobyl screenwriter Craig Mazin and Pirates alum Ted Elliot.

There are no present details regarding the script’s plot, but Sunday’s report claimed that Disney is currently looking to make the film female led.

Which means Depp’s character will play ‘more of a supporting role’ in the highly anticipated film.

Johnny is currently in the midst of a libel case against British tabloid The Sun over a story published in 2018 that alleged the actor abused Heard.

Depp denied the claims made by the publication and was spotted arriving to High Court with the entirety of his legal team on Wednesday in London.

The full hearing will take place on March 23, where Heard is set to testify.

The couple met in 2011 when they co-starred in the movie The Rum Diary and were married in 2015.

Johnny Depp appears at London’s High Court to sue The Sun | Daily Mail Online

Johnny Depp made a surprise appearance at London‘s High Court today as he sues The Sun newspaper over claims he beat up his ex-wife Amber Heard.

The Pirates of the Caribbean star will go head to head in a showdown with Heard as he tries to prove that he didn’t hit her during their stormy 18-month marriage.

Depp is suing The Sun and its Executive Editor Dan Wootton for libel over an article he wrote in which he called the Hollywood star a ‘wife beater’.

Johhny Depp, 56, wearing a blue suit and sunglasses, arrived at London’s High Court today where he is suing The Sun newspaper over a column written by Dan Wootton in April 2018

The Pirates of the Caribbean star, seen arriving with his legal team, denies his ex-wife Amber Heard’s claims that he was violent towards her during their turbulent 18-month marriage

In an article slamming author JK Rowling for casting Depp in her film ‘Fantastic Beasts’, Wootton detailed Amber’s claims that he physical and verbally abused her during their brief, troubled union.

Depp, 55, wearing a blue suit and sunglasses, has robustly denied the claims and is set to go head to head with his former wife in the central London court in March.

At a pre-trial hearing today, the star’s lawyers said he denies allegations of violence against Ms Heard ‘100 per cent’ – and he is determined to clear his name by giving evidence in open court.

Aquaman actress Heard, 33, will also fly in from the US to give her side of the story.

Heard has claimed that Depp was a ‘monster’ who repeatedly beat her during a series of drug-fuelled attacks before and during their marriage.

The US actress alleged that Depp, 55 left her fearing for her life after he choked her and ripped out chunks of her hair in more than a dozen violent altercations.

Ms Heard, 33, seen with the star, has repeatedly made claims he hit her during their union. The Sun’s column slammed JK Rowling’s decision to cast ‘wife beater’ Depp in her new film

Depp has hit back, insisting that he was the victim of domestic violence and that he was regularly attacked by Heard.

She filed for divorce in May 2016 and alleges that the violence started in 2013, even before the couple married.

David Sherborne representing Depp, told the court: ‘The Sun’s article contains serious and criminal accusations against Mr Depp; that he beat his wife and caused her significant injury.

‘Mr Depp has the right to have himself publicly vindicated. This is a vital function of the libel trial when it takes place.’

The High Court was told that Depp is producing 17 witnesses to prove that he is innocent, including testimony from two Los Angeles police officers.

New video and audio evidence is also being submitted to disprove claims that he beat Heard.

It was also revealed that the actress is making new allegations of violence and that a number of her friends will be travelling to London to give evidence on her behalf.

Mr Sherborne said: ‘New, horrible allegations are being made by Ms Heard, which Mr Depp completely denies.

‘One side is lying, and one side is not. We say that it’s Ms Heard.’
