General Hospital Spoilers: Vanessa Marcil Causes Twitter Firestorm – Implies Brenda Barrett’s Return | Celeb Dirty Laundry

General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that GH fans are very worked up about the possibility of a big Brenda Barrett (Vanessa Marcil) return to the show. It all started on Twitter very recently, when Vanessa Marcil, who portrayed Brenda Barrett on the ABC soap, responded to a disparaging tweet that someone made about the character of Brenda.

Brenda last appeared on GH in a guest role in April 2013 when her character returned to Rome after attempting to get back together with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).

Well, in response to a nostalgia tweet about Brenda’s 2010-2011 run on GH, a fan replied by saying: “I love Maurice…never was a fan of Brenda. I was glad to see her go.”

The fan tagged both Vanessa and Maurice in the tweet, and in response, Vanessa retweeted the remark about her character with the following reply: “I’ve got some bad news for ya,” along with a smiley face.

Vanessa’s reply has caused a firestorm on Twitter, with loads of fans retweeting, liking, and commenting on her response to the fan. Many have taken her comment as an indication that the character of Brenda Barrett may be returning to GH.

One person replied excitedly: “OMG Vanessa, I hope that means you’re coming back. Been waiting for so long.”

And someone else commented: “Wait what? I would 1000% watch again for Brenda. Time to come home #BringBrendaBack.” Finally, someone said: “I sure hope you have bad news for them, and terrific news for us Brenda fans. I would love to see you back at GH, to stay, showing them what Brenda is all about. Taking what belongs to you, you bring excitement when you come. You and Sonny can set the world on fire.”

We should note that Vanessa Marcil’s statement comes right about the same time that GH’s Executive Producer Frank Valentini promised a big surprise that will occur in the first few moments of GH’s episode to air on Monday, August 3rd, which is GH’s first episode back after the coronavirus shutdown.

In fact, GH even put out a promo with showing Steve Burton (Jason Morgan) and Donnell Turner (Curtis Ashford) speaking briefly about the big surprise.

“Don’t DVR it, don’t wait for later. Watch it live, or risk being spoiled,” Steve says in the promo, with Donnell chiming in, “Can’t say we didn’t warn you!”

So clearly, something big is going to go down early on during Monday’s GH episode – could Vanessa have been signaling that it could be Brenda’s return? Monday’s official spoilers don’t give any indication that this will be the case, but clearly something’s up, so viewers will have to watch and see.

Given the enormous response that Vanessa’s tweet got from excited fans, we suspect there will be a lot of people tuning in tomorrow for GH’s first episode back after the break.

ill you be watching GH on Monday, and do you think that Brenda could return to the show? Stay tuned to General Hospital, and be sure to stick with CDL for all your GH news and spoilers. And be sure to catch CDL’s daily episode recaps so you don’t miss a thing!

I’ve got some bad news for ya 😊

General Hospital Spoilers: Sam McCall Recast – Kelly Monaco Replaced by AMC Alum Lindsay Hartley Temporarily | Celeb Dirty Laundry

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) will look a little different in upcoming new GH episodes since she has been replaced temporarily by Lindsay Hartley.

According to Daytime Confidential’s sources, Lindsay Hartley will serve as a temporary recast. Hartley will slide in the role of Sam, but she’s only supposed to stick around for a couple weeks.

There’s no confirmation on why Monaco wasn’t available, but the good news she’s expected back on set in the near future. In the meantime, Lindsay Hartley fans will enjoy her fleeting visit to Port Charles. This certainly isn’t Hartley’s first rodeo in the soap world.

Passions watchers will remember Hartley for her role as Theresa Lopez-Fitzgerald, which she portrayed from 1999 to 2008. From 2009-2010, Hartley played Arianna Hernandez on Days of Our Lives. Next, Hartley portrayed Dr. Cara Castillo on All My Children. She was on AMC from 2010-2011 and then reprised the role of Cara in 2013.

Hartley was also featured on The Bay as Sammie Sullivan back in 2014. Her most recent projects include playing Dr. Landford in The House on the Hill and the role of Brooke Jenkins on Deadly Daughter Switch.

Hartley has one more film in post-production called Dawn of 5 Evils, but it’s her upcoming run as Sam that GH fans are most interested in!

When new episodes resume, General Hospital spoilers say Sam will continue to deal with two main problems: parole restrictions and the threat Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) poses.

Sam and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) are being kept apart by these issues, but we all know they manage to sneak visits anyway. It’ll be interesting to see Hartley’s version of Sam in some new “JaSam” scenes.

As other GH news comes in, we’ll provide the latest updates. How do you feel about Lindsay Hartley as a temporary Sam McCall recast? Are you looking forward to her spin on Sam?

General Hospital spoilers say Sam has some tough choices and major struggles ahead, so stay tuned to see how she handles them. CDL’s where you want to be for sizzling General Hospital spoilers, updates and news, so be sure to pop back in often.

General Hospital Spoilers: The Salvation Of Nelle Benson, Nobody Saw THIS Coming! – Soap Opera Spy

General Hospital: Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier)General Hospital (GH) spoilers suggest that the evil Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier) could find salvation in the most unlikely of people. GH fans know that almost all of Nelle’s motivations for the things she does arises out of jealousy for and a need for revenge against, Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright). However, some believe that Carly could turn the tables on Nelle and “save her soul” if she laid down her own ego and offered the olive branch for which Nelle’s secretly yearned!

General Hospital Spoilers – Nelle Benson Hates Carly Corinthos

As most GH viewers know, Nelle hates Carly with a passion. However, no one seems to care why Nelle apparently detests Carly so much. Doesn’t anyone remember that Carly didn’t recognize Nelle as her baby sister when Nelle moved into Port Charles? When it became clear that Carly was more likely to scratch Nelle’s eyes out than invite her to tea, Nelle’s desire for payback only intensified. Yet, there is still something in the depths of Nelle that some GH fans believe can be touched if only Carly would try.

After all, Carly wasn’t so very different from Nelle at one time. Even though the powers that be have attempted to cast shade on Nelle and have tried to put as much distance between her characteristics and those of Nelle, it just isn’t working. GH viewers aren’t buying into the idea that Nelle and Carly are so very different … because they’re not.

GH Spoilers – Carly Corinthos Gets Down On Her Knees

The truth is that both Carly and Nelle have (and continue to) suffer from mental illness. Both Carly and Nelle are impulsive in the extreme. Neither Nelle nor Carly appear able to hold a committed relationship together, and both have evidently strayed from the bounds of holy matrimony (time and again). Indeed, there are elements to Carly and Nelle that just scream “Black Widow.”

However, if Carly could just be made to see that she and Nelle have more in common than not, then some believe she could be convinced to begin her own personal crusade to see Nelle brought back to the light. If Carly could turn her own life around (sort of), then maybe Carly can help Nelle do the same.

General Hospital Spoilers – Creating Peace For Wiley Cooper-Jones

The best scenario should Nelle win custody of Wiley Cooper-Jones (Erik and Theo Olson) would be for Carly to make peace with Nelle. How else would the Corinthos family ever see Wiley again? Moreover, Carly might see peace with Nelle as a means of ensuring Wiley’s overall safety. What if Carly could help Nelle to become a good mother?

— SOS/CTS/HH (@SoapOperaSpy) July 8, 2020

Of course, it’s still kind of just sick that Carly’s sister is the mother of Carly’s grandson … talk about that old Muppets song from the Gogolala Jubilee Jugband – “I’m My Own Grandpa.” Sheesh!

Regardless of family lovin, if Nelle Benson is to be saved and have any kind of hope at redemption, Carly Corinthos just might be the source of Nelle’s deliverance.
