“I prefer to be called OBO, not Odogwu” – Davido (video) – AkPraise

Nigerian artiste, David Adeleke, better known as Davido, has told his fans that prefers to be called ‘OBO’.

This comes after the singer shared a video of his fans chanting ‘Odogwu’ (Great Man) at him.

Earlier this year, Burna Boy released a song dubbed, ‘Odogwu’ and he said whenever he is in Igbo Land, that is what he is called and he typically responds by dancing.

In a follow-up post, Davido clearly stated that he doesn’t want to the title and he would rather stick to his nickname, ‘OBO’ (Omo Baba Olowo which means Son of a Rich Man).

In his words;

“I like to go as OBO as it’s been for the last 10 years”

Musician, Davido has promised to change a fan’s life if he can prove that his newborn baby whom he said he named David because of the singer.

The fan identified as @AmamaMyko on Twitter, tagged Davido and tweeted that as a result of his love for the Aye singer, he named his son David.

He wrote: “My wife just gave birth to a bouncing baby boy and I named him David cos of the love I have for @davido and I want him to be successful like @davido. King David come and bless my son ooo”

Then the father of three replied by promising to change the fan’s life if he can provide proof of his child’s name.

Popular Nigerian reality Tv star, Natacha Akide alias Tacha declared the infamous tattoo of singer, Davido ‘missing’ on her chest.

This comes after the controversial ex-BBnaija star shared a couple of stunning photos from a recent photoshoot via Instagram.

A fan noticed that the tattoo inked between the reality Tv star’s breast was no longer visible and proceeded to ask her on its whereabouts.

The reality Tv star simple replied; “Missing”.

Davido reacts after Kiddominant and Peruzzi revealed they wrote most of his hit songs – Naija Gbedu

Davido has reacted after Peruzzi and Kiddominant revealed during an Instagram Live session that they wrote most of his hit songs.

During the live video, Peruzzi revealed that he’s written top hits for Davido. He said he wrote FIA, Nwa Baby, Risky and Assurance. On his part, Kiddominant said he wrote hits for Davido, including Dodo, Fall, The Money, and Like Dat.

The singer, who was being discussed, appeared to be watching the live video and he dropped a comment to let viewers know that he too has written something.

He commented: “SHEKPE !!!…. at least I write that one.”

Upon pressure from fans, Davido redoes Covid-19 test again; comes out negative – YabaLeftOnline

Over the past few days, fans and followers of Nigerian singing sensation, Davido had pressured the singer to redo his Covid-19 test after his fiance, Chioma and Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, whom he had close contacts with, tested positive to the virus.

After announcing earlier that the mother of his son tested positive to the virus, netizens were unconvinced that his own result was negative because he had close contacts with her at a party few days back and as such, asked the singer to redo the test.

The pressure became even more when Oyo State governor, Seyi Makinde revealed that he’s tested positive for the virus and coincidentally too, Davido had had contact with him prior to the test.

Now the singer has finally revealed that he has redone the test and yet again, his result came out negative. He took to his Twitter page moments ago to give the announcement, writing,

Nigerian investigative journalist, Kemi Olunloyo has reacted to the news of Chioma testing positive for the coronavirus.

Davido made the announcement yesterday that his fiancee, Chioma tested positive for the deadly coronavirus and that he has completely gone into self-isolation. However, this came as no surprise to the journalist as she already warned the “Risky” singer a few ago after he had to cancel his “A Good Time” Tour because of his likely exposure to the coronavirus.

Talking to her Twitter page, Kemi disclosed that she warned the celebrity couple and his first baby mama, Sophie Momodu days ago before she tested positive but no one listened to her because of her usual rants on social media.
