Is Taylor Swift Engaged? Boyfriend Joe Alwyn Reacts To Engagement Rumors For The First Time

Taylor Swift may be about to start a whole new chapter to write love songs about. Life & Style reported on Feb. 17 that the 11-time Grammy winner is engaged to boyfriend Joe Alwyn after more than five years of dating. Bustle reached out to Swift’s publicist for confirmation or denial about the engagement news, but did not receive a response. However, when Alwyn was asked about the rumors two months later, he only confirmed one thing: He won’t give anyone a straight answer.

In a new interview with WSJ. Magazine, the Alwyn laughed off a question about his rumored engagement to Swift. “If I had a pound for every time I think I’ve been told I’ve been engaged, then I’d have a lot of pound coins,” the Conversations With Friends star quipped, before giving his vague final answer. “I mean, the truth is, if the answer was yes, I wouldn’t say, and if the answer was no, I wouldn’t say,” he said.

Swift and Alwyn have faced engagement rumors several times throughout their half-decade relationship. Most recently, the couple sparked speculation after they reportedly went on a low-key couples vacation to Cornwall, England, in January. Some Swifties speculate that the two stars have been secretly engaged — or even already married — for longer than people might realize, pointing to lyrics on her 2019 album Lover, on which she writes wedding vows on the title track and sings “I’d marry you with paper rings” on the ’80s wedding-inspired “Paper Rings.”

Similarly, the “Red” singer and Alwyn have kept their relationship relatively private since they started dating in 2016. Fans speculate that they met at the 2016 Met Gala thanks to Swift’s 2017 Reputation deep cut “Dress,” which includes the lyrics, “Flashback to when you met me, your buzzed cut and my hair bleached.” Swift sported bleached blonde hair at the event, and Alwyn attended with his hair buzzed. However, reports of their relationship didn’t surface until May 2017, and they were spotted in public for the first time the next month.

Swift and Alwyn have rarely spoken about each other to the public, with Alwyn only remarking that he was “happy in a monogamous relationship” in February. However, they’ve worked together professionally multiple times. Alwyn co-wrote several songs on Swift’s 2020 surprise albums Folklore and Evermore under the pen name William Bowery, whose identity was a mystery to listeners until Swift confirmed it was Alwyn in her Disney+ film Folklore: The Long Pond Sessions.

When Folklore won Album of the Year at the 2021 Grammy Awards, Swift thanked Alwyn in her acceptance speech, saying he was “the first person I play every single song that I write” in a rare shoutout. “I had the best time writing songs with you in quarantine,” she added. Weeks after the ceremony, Alwyn’s name was added to the credits of more Folklore tracks, earning him a belated Grammy for his contributions. The couple that wins Grammy awards together stays together.

‘Never Been This Happy’: Eve Shares Photo Cuddled Up With Son Wilde Wolf

Eve has proved to be a dynamic star who can wear many hats be it rapping, fashion, or acting. The newest hat she’s wearing is motherhood and she’s wearing it well.

The new mommy gave fans us an update on how mommy duties are coming along. She posted an adorable picture with her almost three-month-old son, Wilde Wolf Fife Alexander Somers Cooper, snuggling up to her in her InstaStories. For the caption she wrote, “Never been this tired. Never been this happy.”

I’m sure all of the tired moms around can relate, as both things can be true.

The “Love is Blind” Rapper shares her son with her husband, British businessman Maximillion Cooper. Wilde made a grand entrance into the world on Feb 1 of this year.

Eve was open about her fertility struggles in an episode of The Talk back in 2019. Then a co-host, she touched on how emotionally tasking trying to conceive was.

“Obviously, I’ve talked about my struggle with getting pregnant and I didn’t talk about it for a long time because I felt shameful,” she said at the time. “As a woman, you just think things happen naturally and I felt like I was damaged. I felt like I was broken. I felt like, oh well maybe I’m not good enough. Like literally, it’s a very sad, hurtful thing, but the more I held onto it the worse I actually felt about about myself. And people, since I’ve shared, people have been so sweet to me. Even in the audience, people have actually come to me and hugged me and said ‘You deserve it, it’s going to happen for you.’ So thank you to the audience here.”

Bringing her son into the world has certainly been a silver lining after jumping over so many hurdles. She recently celebrated her first Mother’s Day, which she spent in the U.K. She will get to celebrate another, as Mother’s Day in the U.S. is on May 8.

Eve is often low-key about her personal life, so we’ll take all the glimpses into her world we can get.

‘F***ing Baby’: Amber Heard Admits To Hitting Johnny Depp In Explosive Audio Shared In Court

Actress Amber Heard admitted to “hitting” her ex-husband, fellow actor Johnny Depp, audio played in court Wednesday revealed.

Depp is suing Heard for more than $50 million, alleging defamation from his ex which hurt his Hollywood career.

Heard has countersued, seeking $100 million in damages, accusing the Depp legal team of making false claims about her.

“I didn’t punch you, by the way,” Heard said in the provided audio. “I’m sorry that I didn’t hit you across the face in a proper slap. But, I was hitting you. It was not punching you.”

Depp is heard on the audio replying, “Don’t tell me what it feels like to be punched.”

“You’ve been in a lot of fights, you’ve been around a long time,” Heard said. “You didn’t get punched. You got hit. I’m sorry I hit you like this, but I did not punch you. I did not f***ing deck you. I f***ing was hitting you. I don’t know what the motion of my actual hand was.”

“But you’re fine,” the actress told Depp. “I did not hurt you, I did not punch you, I was hitting you.”

“I’m not sitting here b****ing about, am I? You are. That’s the difference between me and you. You’re a f***ing baby,” she added. “You are such a baby! Grow the f*** up, Johnny.”

“I did start a physical fight,” Heard admitted, before Depp explained why he had to get “the f*** out of there.”

“Yes, you did. You did the right thing, the big thing. You were admirable,” Heard responded.

Depp earlier in the week testified that he “never” hit “Ms. Heard in any way, nor have I ever struck any woman in my life.”

“I’m obsessed with the truth, so today is my first opportunity that I’ve been able to speak about this case in full for the first time,” the actor said. “I felt a responsibility of clearing the record.”

Before the trial commenced, Heard took to Instagram with a message expressing her “love” for Depp and suggesting the explosive op-ed she penned at The Washington Post wasn’t about her ex-husband after all.

“Johnny is suing me for an op-ed I wrote in The Washington Post, in which I recounted my experience of violence and domestic abuse,” the actress wrote. “I never named him, rather I wrote about the price women pay for speaking out against men in power.”

“I continue to pay that price,” Heard claimed, “but hopefully when this case concludes, I can move on and so can Johnny. I have always maintained a love for Johnny and it brings me great pain to have to live out the details of our past life together in front of the world.”

Ireland Baldwin slams Amber Heard amid Johnny Depp trial: ‘Absolute disaster of a human being’ | Fox News

NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles!

Ireland Baldwin did not hold back her distaste for Amber Heard as the actress’ defamation trial against ex-husband Johnny Depp rages on in court.

Alec Baldwin’s 26-year-old daughter took to Instagram to weigh in on the explosive defamation trial between the exes, and she sided with Depp while blasting Heard.

“The thing is, I know women who are exactly like this. They are manipulative and cold and they use their very womanhood to play victim and turn the world against the man because we live in a society where it’s cool to say men are the worst and blah blah f—ity blah,” Ireland wrote on her Instagram Story over someone else’s tweet about the Heard vs Depp trial.

Ireland argued “men can experience abuse too” and went on to call Heard an “absolute disaster of a human being.”

“Amber Heard is a terrible person and I hope Johnny gets his reputation and his life back. And I hope he’s in like 5 Pirates movies,” Ireland’s post, which has since expired from her account, continued.

Depp, 58, is suing Heard, 36, for $50 million over an op-ed she wrote for The Washington Post alleging she was the victim of domestic abuse. Heard never identified Depp directly, but attorneys for the “Pirates of the Caribbean” actor say her allegations have negatively impacted Depp’s career and relationship with his family.

The pair have accused each other of abuse over the course of the trial for the past 10 days, but cross-examination by Heard’s defense team on Thursday revealed eye-popping text messages, photos and video evidence — much of which Heard took herself during their relationship — painting Depp as a violent substance abuser.

Depp, during his third day on the stand, confirmed texts he sent to his friend, Paul Bettany, dating June 2013, read aloud by Heard attorney Ben Rottenborn, that said, “[L]et’s down her before we burn her,’ and “I will f–k her burnt corpse afterwards to make sure she’s dead.”

Later on Thursday afternoon, Rottenborn presented yet another text from Depp to a friend talking about Heard’s theoretical “corpse.”

The text said Depp hopes her “rotting corpse is decomposing in the f—ing trunk of a Honda Civic,” a 2016 text from Depp to his friend, Isaac Baruch, presented as evidence on Thursday and confirmed by Depp read.

The actor apologized for the texts while on the witness stand.

Rottenborn also brought up an infamous quarrel he had with Heard on a 2014 flight from Boston to Los Angeles. Heard’s attorneys have alleged that Depp kicked Heard in the back on the plane.

Depp testified that he was not drunk and did not physically or verbally abuse his now ex-wife on the plane after the two argued over his suspicion she had an affair with her co-star James Franco, but Rottenborn confronted Depp with an email he had sent Heard the next day, apologizing profusely.

“Once again, I find myself in a place of shame and regret,” Rottenborn read from the email. “I am sorry. I really don’t know why or what happened, but I will never do it again. I want to get better for your and for me. I must. My illness somehow crept up and grabbed me. I can’t do it again, I can’t live like that again, and I know you can’t either.”

Five days later, Depp sent a text to pal Paul Bettany, which Rottenborn read in court.

“I’m going to properly stop the booze thing, darling,” Depp wrote. “Drank all night before I picked Amber up to fly to LA. Ugly, mate.”

Additional evidence presented against Depp included a photo of Depp passed out with a spilled container in hand after taking roxycodone, audio of Heard telling Depp not to cut his own finger and a video showing Depp kicking a piece of furniture and slamming cabinets in what appears to be a kitchen.

“I did assault a couple of cabinets, but I didn’t touch Ms. Heard,” Depp said of the video, adding that “there’s a possibility” he was drunk at the time.

The cross-examination ended Thursday and will resume Monday morning.

A source close to Depp told Fox News Digital that he is a “victim of abuse” and “has been since Ms. Heard made her very first false allegation in 2016, and has continued to be subject to abuse ever since, as outlined in his testimony.”

“Today’s cross-examination by Ms. Heard’s attorney has proven to be no exception. Mr. Rottenborn’s aggressive and, coincidentally, ‘jack-hammer’ approach toward a man who has suffered extensively over the last six years proves that the mistreatment of Johnny goes well beyond Ms. Heard’s grievous behavior. Colorful texts, which Johnny has already apologized for, do not equate to physical actions and Mr. Rottenborn still has not been able to connect the two, nor will he ever be able to,” the source said.

Fox News’ Audrey Conklin and Rebecca Rosenberg contributed to this report.

Johnny Depp Wouldn’t Accept Offer For Pirates Of The Caribbean Return

Johnny Depp admitted that he would reject any offer to return to the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise.

Currently, Johnny Depp is participating in a defamation trial with his ex-wife Amber Heard. The Pirates of the Caribbean actor is suing the Aquaman star for $50 million over abuse claims she made in a 2018 op-ed published in the Washington Post.

On Wednesday April 20, 2022, Johnny Depp was on the stand, recalling that Disney dropped him from the proposed sixth Pirates film within days after Amber Heard’s op-ed was published. The actor expressed that despite being dropped from the franchise that is home to perhaps his most famous film role, Disney continued to keep Jack Sparrow’s presence alive in the theme park ride, while also continuing to sell merchandise tied to the character:

“They didn’t remove my character from the rides. They didn’t stop selling dolls of Captain Jack Sparrow. They didn’t stop selling anything. They just didn’t want there to be something trailing behind me that they’d find.”

When cross-examined by Amber Heard’s attorney Ben Rottenborn, Johnny Depp reaffirmed something he said in his deposition, which expressed his sentiment that he would not accept any offer from Disney to return to the Pirates franchise.

Ben Rottenborn: “The fact is, Mr. Depp, if Disney came to you with $300 million and a million alpacas, nothing on this earth would get you to go back and work with Disney on a Pirates of the Caribbean film? Correct?”

Johnny Depp: “That is true, Mr. Rottenborn.”

The Pirates franchise is based on the original Disneyland attraction of the same name. The first film, The Curse of the Black Pearl, garnered Johnny Depp his first Academy Award nomination for Best Actor in a Leading Role. The franchise consists of five films, with its last entry, Dead Men Tell No Tales, having sailed into theaters in 2017. All five films have grossed a total of $4.5 billion at the global box office.

All five Pirates films are available to stream on Disney Plus. Be sure to continue following Heroic Hollywood for all the latest news regarding the ongoing defamation trial between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard, and subscribe to our YouTube channel for more original video content.

  • Heirs to the Walmart fortune plan to launch an arts and music festival this September, WSJ reports.
  • Known as FORMAT, the festival will welcome up to 17,000 guests, with tickets starting at $275.
  • It’ll take place in Walmart’s birthplace of Bentonville, Arkansas, on a 300-acre field surrounded by land belonging to the Waltons.

Names like Coachella and Bonnaroo are fixtures of the music and arts festivals scene. But one newcomer is about to enter the mix, with the help of none other than America’s richest family.

Members of the Walton family, heirs to the Walmart fortune, are helping to launch a new art and music festival later this year, The Wall Street Journal reports. The event is known as FORMAT, short for For Music + Art + Technology, and it will kick off during the weekend of September 23.

Its launch is being led by two grandsons of Walmart founder Sam Walton, Steuart and Tom Walton, and the latter’s wife, Olivia Walton. They’re working with creative firm Triadic and Lollapalooza concert promoter C3 Presents on the festival, according to the Journal.

FORMAT will take place on a 300-acre field surrounded by woods belonging to the Waltons in Walmart’s birthplace of Bentonville, Arkansas; there will be 400 camping sites on the festival’s grounds. The event will target an older demographic than the typical music and arts festival, welcoming up to 17,000 guests in their 30s and 40s, with tickets starting at $275, the Journal reports.

Walmart did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
