Last Tuesday, Bethenny Frankel made a jab at the declining ratings of her former reality series, The Real Housewives of New York, while making an appearance on Extra.

According to Page Six, many of Frankel’s former castmates and supporters, along with several top producers on The Real Housewives of New York, are livid about Frankel’s remarks.

“The ratings overall in television have never been higher and perhaps the ratings on ‘Real Housewives’ aren’t doing well because it’s sort of not maybe the content that is inspiring people to do what they need to do right now,” said Frankel during her Extra segment.

Frankel has been an on-and-off cast member on RHONY for many years. Last summer, she quit the show and is currently working on an upcoming HBO Max reality series titled The Big Shot.

A source told Page Six that the cast was upset by Frankel’s remarks and shocked by her negativity.

“We all can’t believe she’s out there bashing the show when the ratings are good and she’s proclaimed to have moved on when she decided to leave the franchise. I know the ladies only wish her more success with her new show than she had with the last one!”

One of the production sources even alleges that Andy Cohen was especially angry over Frankel’s comment. They went on to say that even if she “pretends” to be a philanthropist, producer, and more, she will still “always be a ‘Real Housewife’ and reality star.”

The article states that Frankel may have taken a jab at her former series because the cast has made a few negative comments about her lately. Luann de Lesseps made a shady remark while on Rob Shuter’s Naught but Nice and alleged that the current season is the best because of Frankel’s absence.

Earlier this month, The Inquisitr reported that RHONY cast member Ramona Singer felt the series became “lighter and brighter” after Frankel’s exit.

On social media, many of Frankel’s supporters felt she was in the right to take a jab at the show since cast members seemed intent on saying the show was better without her.

That said, Frankel’s rep said she wished everyone at Bravo and RHONY well. Bravo has not officially commented on the matter.

However, Frankel isn’t the first housewife to comment on the state of the Real Housewives franchise. Margaret Josephs of Real Housewives of New Jersey fame also talked about how the franchise might change after the coronavirus pandemic is over.

Jussie Smollett – Lee Daniels (Getty)

*Raise your hand if you’re NOT surprised to learn that Jussie Smollett and Lee Daniels are no longer on speaking terms.

OK then, raise your hand if you think it’s because of Smollett’s alleged hate-crime hoax.

Even though Smollett starred on the Daniels created and Fox hit show “Empire” for 5 seasons, we’re learning that the two often had issues over things such as R. Kelly being involved in Smollett’s career.

Smollett starred on Daniels’ Fox hit “Empire” for five seasons. But we’re told that the pair butted heads over, among other things, R. Kelly’s involvement in Smollett’s career.

Well, here’s the real deal. Smollett and Daniels’ “relationship is nonexistent, and it was tense even before Jussie’s attack incident,” an insider told Page Six.

It seems the problem was that Daniels wanted R. Kelly to write songs for Smollett’s “Empire” character. He also suggested that Kelly work on the actor’s own album.

However, Smollett was not feeling the idea at all and wanted nothing to do with Kelly, who already had a bad reputation in the music industry. Smollett “put his foot down,” the source said.

If you’re wondering, Page Six noted that a Fox rep denied Kelly ever wrote for the show or that Daniels asked him to do so.

On the other hand, Smollett would often complain to Fox execs about Daniels.

“It was things like that that did not sit well with Lee,” said the insider. “He [was frustrated by] Jussie because he was constantly going over his head to Fox about their creative differences.”

Unfortunately, as the world knows, in 2019 things fell apart for Smollett. He was charged with filing a false police report after it was claimed he hired brothers Abel and Ola Osundairo to supposedly stage a racist and homophobic assault on him in Chicago. Charges were dropped, but a special prosecutor re-examined the case, and fresh charges were filed against Smollett in February.

So, what does Daniels have to say about this? Basically, nothing except that it’s not true.

“The information regarding my relationship with Jussie prior to his departure from ‘Empire’ is false.” And “I have no personal or professional relationship with R. Kelly. I never have.”

‘The Masked Singer’ Spoilers: Could T-Rex Be JoJo Siwa?

Last night, The Masked Singer introduced viewers to six more contestants in crazy costumes. One masked celebrity that has everyone talking is T-Rex.

For their debut performance, they sang P!nk’s hit single “So What.” T-Rex appears to be a female with a lot of energy. They don’t seem to be a pop star with a powerhouse vocal, but they could be someone who entertains for a living.

For their first clue package, T-Rex revealed they were discovered by someone and was entered into a world with lots of other talented people. Ken Jeong assumed the many dinosaurs in the clip could be family related and Jenny McCarthy said they may have risen to fame in a competition.

When it came down to the panelists guessing who it may be, they noted T-Rex’s energy.

Jeong stated he thought it was Kourtney Kardashian. However, the other judges didn’t agree.

“There’s no way that kind of energy is coming out of Kourtney Kardashian,” McCarthy said.

She believes it is someone who is still at a young age that may have appeared on Dance Moms.

Nicole Scherzinger guessed singer Rebecca Black because she’s young and has “so much energy.”

It seems the world of social media is on the same page as McCarthy, as they are confident that JoJo Siwa — who starred in two seasons of Dance Moms — is underneath the costume.

“ITS JOJO SIWA. THE COMPASS SAID NORTHWEST AND SHE BABYSAT HER AND WE SEE HER SITTING ON A BABY AS ITS SHOWN. WE SEE PINK SLIME I DONT NEED TO EXPLAIN THAT. WE SEE A BOW AGAIN NO EXPLANATION NEEDED. SHE MENTIONS GROWING UP IN A PACK OF GIRLS THAT COULD BE A REFERENCE TO DANCE MOMS,” one user wrote passionately in capital letters.

“There are sooo many Dance Moms clues, JOJO I SEE U GURL,” another shared.

“This is definitely JoJo Siwa. I knew the second she started to sing,” remarked a third fan of the show.

T-Rex remains in the competition, meaning viewers will have to keep watching The Masked Singer in order to find out if it really is JoJo underneath the costume.

As previously reported by The Inquisitr, last night, it was revealed that The Bear was Alaska’s former governor, Sarah Palin, who the panel didn’t guess correctly. Host Nick Cannon was just as shocked as the audience and didn’t expect it to be her.

Another popular contestant is Swan, who fans believe could be former Disney Channel star Bella Thorne.
