I hope you and your loved ones are staying safe and well, wherever you may be, and my continued thanks to you all for bearing with us so patiently.

Due to the continuing health issues Worldwide around Covid-19 we regretfully inform you that Iron Maiden will now not be playing any concerts until June 2021.

However, we are now in a position to give you details of our touring plans in respect to those shows we had hoped to play this year.

Firstly, we are very pleased to tell you that we’ve managed to reschedule all our European own-shows on the Legacy Of The Beast tour for June/July 2021 with the exception of Moscow, St Petersburg, Weert and Zurich which unfortunately we have been unable to re-arrange in this period.

To consolidate the tour routing, as you can see, we have added 2 further shows in Arnhem and Antwerp.

We are in the process of inviting back all the Special Guests and supports who were due to play with us this year. Where any band is unable to commit to this due to their own rescheduling situations, we will look at finding other suitable acts of equivalent stature. The majority are already confirmed and can be found here.

Re-arranging the headline Festival dates has unfortunately not been possible. This is mainly because we already had an extremely busy year lined up for 2021 and, as I’m sure you can imagine, a great deal of forward planning has already gone on and there’s only so much we can do within the timeline and logistics already in place. The band enjoy playing at Festivals so please be assured we will get back to as many of these as we can at another time.

In respect of what should have been the opening leg of the 2020 tour starting on May 1 in Perth, Australia and visiting New Zealand, the Philippines, Japan, Dubai and Israel, we are currently working on a possible return to as many of these countries as we can, in some guise, in the first half of 2022, more news on that will follow at the appropriate time.

The band are all fine and send you guys their best wishes, they are very much looking forward to getting back on stage next year and seeing you all so, please, continue to take care of yourselves and stay SMART.

– Rod

Dana White announces Khabib Nurmagomedov vs. Justin Gaethje for Oct. 24

Khabib Nurmagomedov will make his return to the octagon on Oct. 24, UFC president Dana White has announced.

White confirmed to CNN that Nurmagomedov, the Russian lightweight champion, will return to action against interim champ Justin Gaethje as he bids to continue his undefeated career following a tragic time in his personal life.

Nurmagomedov’s father and coach, Abdulmanap, died from issues related to COVID-19 earlier this month. But White told CNN that Nurmagomedov will be ready to return in October.

“It’s been very rough on him,” White said. “His father was a hero to him. He loved his father. They had a very, very close relationship, and it was very hard on him.”

Nurmagomedov (28-0 MMA, 12-0 UFC) originally was scheduled to face Tony Ferguson in April, but the COVID-19 pandemic meant their fifth fight booking went by the wayside.

Gaethje (22-2 MMA, 5-2 UFC)) stepped in and stopped Ferguson in the fifth round on May 9  at UFC 249 to claim the interim title and book himself a future shot at Nurmagomedov. News of the death of the champion’s father put any plans for a summer matchup on hold.

However, according to White, that bout will still take place, with the date now set for Oct. 24. at a venue to be confirmed.

“It’s going to happen, I tell you right here, right now,” White said. “That fight’s going to happen: Khabib vs. Gaethje, October 24.”

White previously has hinted at Nurmagomedov vs. Gaethje taking place on “Fight Island,” though that remains up in the air.

4 more Marlins players test positive for COVID-19

Marlins, COVID-19

The 2020 MLB campaign just kicked off on July 23, and things are already a mess. According to Jeff Passan of ESPN, four more Miami Marlins players have tested positive for COVID-19, bringing the total to 17 positive tests for Marlins players, coaches and staff over the last five days.

Passan added that it “feels likely” that an infected Marlins player participated in their game against the Philadelphia Phillies on Sunday.

Miami’s home opener against the Baltimore Orioles was cancelled on Monday night. The Marlins have remained in Philadelphia, where they played a three-game series over the weekend.

Because Philadelphia just played Miami, the Phils have postponed each of their last two scheduled games against the New York Yankees. Per Lindsey Adler of The Athletic, some Phillies players are still waiting for coronavirus test results.

On Monday, MLB managers expressed concern over the season, including Dave Martinez of the Washington Nationals:

“I’m going to be honest with you: I’m scared,” said Martinez, via Max Marcovitch and Dave Hyde of The South Florida Sun Sentinel. “My level of concern went from about an eight to a 12. I mean, this thing really hits home now. I got guys in our clubhouse that are really concerned, as well.”

How the surge in positive cases within the Marlins organization affects the remainder of the season remains to be seen.

“We’re taking risks every day,” Miami manager Don Mattingly said on Sunday. “That’s what the players all around the league are doing. You travel all the time … it’s a risk that we take. We’re going to have to be adjustable, we’re going to have to be flexible, we’re going to have to be patient.”

The MLB has taken the least preventative measures out of the major sports, with the NBA opting to use a bubble system and the NHL utilizing hub cities for their respective returns.

Ms Fisher’s Modern Murder Mysteries Renewed By Acorn TV For Season 2 – Deadline

EXCLUSIVE: AMC Networks streamer Acorn TV has commissioned a second season of Ms Fisher’s Modern Murder Mysteries after licensing the first season of the Australian crime drama.

The show, originally brought to Acorn subscribers last year, is a spin-off of Australian broadcaster ABC’s series Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries. Every Cloud Productions will produce Season 2 in association with distributor All3Media International and with funding from Acorn Media Enterprises.

Acorn TV will premiere the drama, which stars Geraldine Hakewill as the charming 1960s detective Peregrine Fisher, in the U.S., Canada, New Zealand, and in its home country of Australia in 2021. Seven Network, which commissioned the first season of Ms Fisher’s Modern Murder Mysteries, will show the second season after it has debuted on Acorn.

Season 1 took place in Melbourne, and features Fisher taking up the detective mantle from her aunt Phryne Fisher — who featured in the original ABC drama — after the latter goes missing over Papua New Guinea in her light plane. New storylines will see Fisher tackling her biggest case yet, while juggling romance with policeman James.

Fiona Eagger and Deb Cox created Ms Fisher’s Modern Murder Mysteries through Every Cloud Productions, and said Acorn has been “incredible” as a partner. Don Klees, senior vice president of programming for the Acorn brands and AMC Networks SVOD, added that subscribers “loved” the first season.

The second season will be made with support from Screen Australia and Film Victoria. Returning cast includes Joel Jackson (Peter Allen: Not The Boy Next Door), Catherine McClements (Wentworth) and Toby Truslove. All3Media International distributes outside of the U.S., Canada, New Zealand and Australia.
