Britney Spears Brother Bryan Speaks Out On ‘Free Britney’: Video – Hollywood Life

Bryan Spears recently spoke out about his younger sister Britney’s conservatorship, admitting that she’s ‘always wanted to get out’ of the arrangement.

One of Britney Spears‘ family members is speaking out. Britney’s older brother Bryan Spears, 43, didn’t hold back in a new interview about the Glory singers’ on-going conservatorship, which is in place until Aug. 22. “She’s always wanted to get out of [the conservatorship]…it’s very frustrating to have,” Bryan said candidly on the July 23 episode of the As Not Seen On TV podcast. “Whether someone’s coming in peace to help or coming in with an attitude, having someone constantly tell you to do something has got to be frustrating,” the film and television producer explained of the 38-year-old’s current situation.

“[Britney]’s been in this thing for quite some time now,” he went on of the conservatorship arrangement, which went into place in 2008 and means father Jamie Spears, 68, legally oversees her financial affairs. “Obviously there was a need for it at the beginning that I assume everyone knows the issues that were going on, and now they’ve made some changes and all we can kinda do is hope for the best,” the Kentwood, Louisiana said of Britney, who is mom to Sean, 14, and Jayden, 13.

Bryan went on to address the current #FreeBritney movement that has trended for weeks on social media, including on July 22 when a hearing was scheduled regarding the current arrangement. “I don’t quite know what [the fans] meaning is…I am aware that they feel like it’s, maybe she’s being confined or held against her will in some capacity, but I can’t really speak for them,” he noted. “She’s been surrounded by people since she was 15…I know what she wants,” he said, also saying that the conservatorship has been “a great thing for our family.”

“In the beginning, [the conservatorship] was hard…what I think kind of got us all through it, all of us have been pretty close all these years,” the eldest child of Jamie and Lynne Spears, 65, admitted. “In general, I think [my dad Jamie] has done the best he could given the situation he was put in. We’ve had to work together as a family to keep it all going,” Bryan also said in the rare interview.

Ms Heard, 34, has concluded her evidence in her ex-husband’s libel case against The Sun’s executive editor Dan Wootton and the paper’s publisher News Group Newspapers (NGN). The Aquaman star has made over 14 allegations of domestic violence, which NGN relies on in its defence of an April 2018 article which branded Mr Depp, 57, a “wife beater”.

Ms Henriquez said she lived with her sister in Los Angeles when Ms Heard first began a relationship with Johnny Depp and later moved to one of the actor’s apartments in the Eastern Columbia Building.

She told the court that she moved there in around 2014 and left after the couple married in February 2015, before moving back in January 2016. Previously, Amber Heard said she punched Johnny Depp in self-defence because she thought the actor was going to push her sister, Whitney Henriquez, down the stairs at their home in LA.

News Group Newspapers expected to request expert evidence about whether images of Amber Heard’s injuries were ‘manipulated or edited’

Before she begins her evidence on Monday morning, Mr Justice Nicol is likely to hear an application by NGN for permission to call expert evidence about whether images apparently showing injuries to Ms Heard – alleged to have been caused by Mr Depp – have been “manipulated or edited” in some way.

Ms Heard is also likely to face questions over allegations that she was having an affair with actor James Franco and Tesla founder Elon Musk while in a relationship with Mr Depp, as well as claims that she “deliberately smuggled” two Yorkshire terriers, Pistol and Boo, into Australia illegally in April 2015.

Amber Heard expected to paint damning portrait of ex-husband as a ‘jealous person’ who ‘doesn’t respect women’

Parts of Ms Heard’s witness statement, which have been heard in open court, allege Mr Depp “attacked me a lot of times, on many different occasions” and was a “jealous” person who “doesn’t respect women”.

She also says Mr Depp caused her “significant injuries” and, on occasion, led her to “fear for her life”.

NGN’s lawyers claim that, when Mr Depp “failed to control his alcohol and substance abuse”, he “turned his rage and frustration on Ms Heard, berating her and launching into a variety of vile, crude and unreasonable accusations”.

The publisher also alleges: “On such occasions, Mr Depp’s aggression typically descended into physically destructive behaviour, including the use of violence against her.

“His ‘wife beating’ behaviour included throwing objects at her, slapping her across the face, kicking her, gripping her around the throat and threatening to kill her.”

Last week the court heard Amber Heard “hid” violent abuse by husband Johnny Depp from her friends and entourage

The 34-year-old recorded herself speaking to her former interior designer, Laura Divenere, after taking public her claims of domestic abuse against Depp.

“It’s not your fault, you didn’t know”, Heard tells Ms Divenere. “I hid it from everyone.. it’s what people do.”

Ms Divenere had made a statement in support of Depp in the US, but told Heard she had been “pressurised” into signing it and insisted it was not the truth.

“I knew what was going on”, Ms Divenere said. “You’ve been living this whole nightmare for four years straight.”

The 19-minute recording was played at the High Court this afternoon as Ms Divenere gave evidence via videolink from Los Angeles.

Johnny Depp confided in a childhood friend that Amber Heard “likes to hit” in the early part of their relationship, the High Court heard last week

Artist Isaac Baruch, who has known Depp since they were teenagers, claimed the actor spoke to him in 2013 about his private life with Heard.

In his evidence to the libel trial, Mr Baruch said Depp had told him: “I don’t know what to do – she likes to argue and she likes to hit.”

Mr Baruch said he pressed for details and was told: “She just wants to argue about stuff all the time and then she’ll start hitting me.”

The artist said he was “kind of surprised” by the news, asking if Depp was referring to “playful hitting” but the star continued: “She argues and then she’ll just start punching me and wants to fight, I’ll try to stop her but she just keeps going to the point where I just stop trying to stop her and say ‘OK, go ahead do your worst, get it out of your system.”

Amber Heard made “fraudulent” allegations of domestic violence against Johnny Depp to “extort and blackmail him”, a long-standing friend of the actor told the High Court last week

Isaac Baruch, an artist who has known the Hollywood star for 40 years, said Mr Depp told him that Ms Heard “likes to argue and likes to hit” and said: “I’m not gonna hit her, I love her.”

Giving evidence by video-link from the US on Friday, Mr Baruch said he saw Ms Heard’s face and did not see “a single mark” on May 22 2016, the day after Mr Depp, 57, allegedly threw his ex-wife’s mobile phone at her and hit her in the face.

Mr Baruch – who lived rent-free in one of five penthouses in the Eastern Columbia Building in Los Angeles owned by Mr Depp – described the Hollywood star as an “ubermensch” and “an ultimate good guy”.

He also told the court that Mr Depp called Ms Heard, 34, a “c***” in a text to him “because she filed for a fraudulent domestic violence claim to push her hand and extort and blackmail him”.

It comes as Amber Heard is due to give evidence against her former husband.

Amber Heard smiles as she arrives at the High Court

The Aquaman actress has arrived at the High Court in London where she is due to face three days of questioning about her relationship with former husband Johnny Depp.

Johnny Depp arrives at the High Court

Actor Johnny Depp has arrived at the High Court in London for a hearing in his libel case against the publishers of The Sun and its executive editor, Dan Wootton.

Amber Heard enters the witness box at the start of her evidence

Wearing a cream blouse and dark pencil skirt, with her long hair braided to one side of her head, Ms Heard affirmed her oath before being taken to her witness statements in the trial bundle by Sasha Wass QC, for NGN.

Ms Heard is due to face three days of questioning over her relationship with Mr Depp.

One of Johnny Depp’s lawyers has been accused of sending threatening messages to one of the witnesses in the case, Laura Divenere, after she gave evidence on Friday

Adam Wolanski QC, for The Sun, this morning highlighted a Tweet from Adam Waldman, a US attorney, which read: “In memoriam, Elon Musk’s decorator Laura Divenere.”

“We feel that is very sinister and macabre, it’s threatening”, he said.

David Sherborne, for Depp, said the phrase ‘In memoriam’ has been used for months when “Ms Heard’s lies have been put to bed”, and was not intended as a threat by Mr Waldman who is in the court’s public gallery. He said it was aimed at Ms Divenere when she is said to have been caught out not telling the truth.

Mr Justice Nicol warned it would be “quite wrong” if tweets about the case could be seen as threatening, adding: “Witnesses who give evidence in this trial must feel they can do so without risk of being threatened.

Eleanor Laws QC suggests to Amber Heard that she had “ultimate control in the relationship”, to which Ms Heard said: “No, absolutely not.”

Ms Laws said: “You took the important decisions in the relationship.”

Ms Heard replied: “No, I had very little decision-making power in that relationship.”

Ms Laws then asked about the five penthouses in the Eastern Columbia Building in Los Angeles which Mr Depp owned, and said to Ms Heard that she “moved some friends and your sister in”.

Ms Heard replied: “Not exactly.” She added that her sister, Whitney Henriquez, did move into one of the penthouses and that her friend Raquel Pennington did so “at his invitation”.

Ms Laws continued: “And it was you who wanted them there.”

Ms Heard replied: “Yes, I loved that they were there.”

Ms Laws asked: “And none of them paid any rent?”

Ms Heard said: “No, Johnny wouldn’t let them.”

Amber Heard tells court of incident where Mr Depp knelt on her back in a hotel room

Eleanor Laws asked Amber Heard about the couple’s marriage in February 2015, saying: “At that stage, according to you, you had been subject to repeated and regular physical violence, is that right?”

Ms Heard replied: “Yes, that’s right.”

Ms Laws then asked Ms Heard about discussions with lawyers in January 2015 about a pre-nuptial agreement between herself and Johnny Depp, and suggested there was an argument about it.

Ms Heard told the court: “There was an argument in a hotel room in Tokyo that resulted in Johnny kneeling on my back and hitting me on the back of the head.

“He mentioned… it was more about Christi his sister, who handled most of his affairs.

“He said it was Christi, that he didn’t want that, that he trusted me and, as he said to me time and time again, the only way out of this was death.

“He said this to me, to which I responded that of course I would sign whatever I needed to sign. But then Johnny was also accusing me of having an affair with a co-star and that is what led to the actual argument.”

She said Mr Depp hit her in the hotel room and that “everything else proceeded in the closet”.

Ms Heard tells court Mr Depp ‘didn’t want to be the bad guy’

Eleanor Laws then reiterated Amber Heard’s answer that Johnny Depp did not really want a pre-nup, to which Ms Heard responded: “I think Johnny, at least from my experience, had a very hard time… asserting himself if he felt that would make you feel poorly or badly about him, he would try to avoid it.

“He did this a lot with his kids, I saw him do it with other people… he didn’t want to be the bad guy, in some ways, he was allergic to that.”

She said Mr Depp would tell her it was his sister who wanted the pre-nup and that she asked for a meeting with Christi (Dembrowski) and told her she would hire a lawyer, which she did.

Ms Heard said the lawyer worked on a draft of an agreement and it was sent to Mr Depp’s team through Christi.

She added: “That is why we didn’t need to have a fight about it because he wasn’t claiming it was something he wanted, he said time and time again that he would tear it up, that the only way out of this was death.”

Ms Laws then asked why the pre-nup was never signed, to which Ms Heard said that it was left on Mr Depp’s “team’s” desk and “no-one did anything”.

Ms Heard added: “I did everything I could to make sure that we would be able to get married at this time.”

She said the evidence of Mr Depp’s doctor, Dr Kipper, that Ms Heard had tried to move the wedding date was “mistaken”.

Ms Heard said in a sworn statement to the court that Mr Depp “threatened to kill me many times”

The Aquaman actress said in a statement to the court released on Monday that she suffered from extreme violence at the hands of her former husband.

“Some incidents were so severe that I was afraid he was going to kill me, either intentionally or just by losing control and going too far,” she said in the statement.

“He explicitly threatened to kill me many times, especially later in our relationship.”

Ms Heard says she offered “time and time again” to sign pre-nup

Eleanor Laws then read out text messages sent between Johnny Depp and Christi Dembrowski in February 2015, shortly before the wedding, which referred to getting Amber Heard to sign a pre-nup.

The court heard Ms Dembrowski told her brother to get an agreement before the pair married, because “50% of post-nups never get signed”.

Ms Laws said: “He did want a pre-nup, didn’t he?”

Ms Heard replied: “I had no idea. He told me he didn’t. What Johnny told me is that he would look it up and that the only way out of this was death.

“He told me this time and time again and I offered time and time again to sign whatever it was that he or his team needed or wanted.

“I made it very clear from the early days… that I was not interested in Johnny’s money, I never had been, I never was.”

She added: “He’s having this conversation with Christi because he wasn’t having it with me.”

Ms Laws asked: “You didn’t sign the pre-nup or any pre-nup, did you?” Ms Heard said: “No.”

Amber Heard denies having history of substance abuse of alcohol or drugs

Eleanor Laws then began asking Amber Heard about her use of “legal and illegal” drugs and, referring to her witness statement, said: “You presented yourself in quite a dishonest way.” Ms Heard said: “No.”

Ms Laws asked: “Do you remember the suggestion that your drinking and taking of controlled drugs was not in any way toxic?”

She also referred to Ms Heard’s witness statement, in which she said she “wouldn’t take cocaine at all when you were with Mr Depp” nor would she “drink to excess”.

Ms Laws said: “I suggest that they are all lies… every one of those assertions by you is a lie, isn’t it?”

Ms Heard said they were not.

Ms Laws took Ms Heard to a medical note written by a nurse, Erin Boerum, who wrote that Ms Heard had “a history of anxiety” and had suffered from an eating disorder and ADHD.

Ms Heard replied: “That’s a mistake.”

The note also said: “AH reports a history of substance abuse, including addiction to cocaine and liquor.”

Ms Heard said: “I have never had an eating disorder, I have never been diagnosed with bipolar, I have never had a history of substance abuse or (of) liquor.”

She added: “Both my parents were alcoholics.”

Hollywood actress Amber Heard feared Johnny Depp was going to kill her as he repeatedly told her “death was the only way out of the relationship”, she told the High Court today.

The star, 34, claims Depp was an abusive and controlling husband who regularly attacked her while high on drugs or drunk, punching her, pulling her hair and throwing glass bottles at her.

Amber Heard claims she was kept “sedated” by a range of medications prescribed to her by Johnny Depp’s doctor

“Johnny’s doctor had me on a long list of medications. They were consistently being updated and changed”, she said. “I could barely keep up.”

Heard said she has been taking narcolepsy medication for a long time, but Depp’s doctor put her on a lot of other drugs.

“They were to keep me sedated, calm”, she said. “To keep my body from responding to the world I was living in.”

Amber Heard claims “controlling” husband Johnny Depp accused her of having affairs with co-stars and wanted to know about all intimate scenes

“I had to justify to him why I was doing any movie, and it was much worse if there was

any kissing or a sex scene in it”, she said.

“He would insist every male actor was trying to sleep with me and/or that I had had an affair with them, that he’d spoken to people and knew all about it.

“He would try and catch me out by taking my phone or telling me someone had told him I was having an affair and act as if he had information proving it – when I really hadn’t. “He accused me of having affairs with each of my co-stars, movie after movie: Eddie Redmayne, James Franco, Jim Sturgess, Kevin Costner, Liam Hemsworth, Billy-

Bob Thornton, Channing Tatum; even women co-stars like Kelly Garner.

“He also accused me of having affairs with stars I auditioned with, like Leonardo DiCaprio. He would taunt me about it – especially when he was drunk or high – and had derogatory nicknames for every one of my male co-stars he considered a sexual threat. “For example, Leonardo DiCaprio was “pumpkin-head”, Channing Tatum was “potato-head” and “Jim Turd Sturgess”.

Heard also claimed that Depp used racist slurs about black people and Mexicans when accusing her of having affairs.

She added: “He would also call directors I was working with on set or after he saw the film cut to complain about nudity or how I was portrayed.”

Ms Heard claims Depp took away her car as he sought to control her movements, leaving her feeling like a “wild horse in a cage”

“He once took my car without asking me – my Mustang – explaining that he was going to get it fixed for me as a gift. Once it was gone, he insisted that his drivers and handlers take me everywhere,” Ms Heard told the court.

“He had tried to insist on this before, but after he took my car, it was harder to resist. I didn’t have a car for the next three and a half years.

“Over time it became obvious that this was one of the ways in which he would know about and control where I was.”

Heard said Depp insisted on her having security guards and claimed they would “report back to him about where I was at all times”.

“Johnny didn’t like that I wanted to maintain my independence”, she said. “I think he saw some of this as normal behaviour because he considers himself as an old-fashioned guy, a gentleman he would say.

“He takes a lot of pride in that and in wanting to “look after” his woman. This was part of that. I don’t think that he really respects women, he likes ones that validate his ego, sexy ones.

“He doesn’t like powerful women, and he saw me as one of those, especially towards the end. I remember describing it to a friend at the time as feeling like a wild horse in a cage, it was as if he wanted to break me.”

‘I Would Love to Share My Faith with the World’: Dad of 8, Pastor, and Winner of ‘The Voice’ Shares His Dreams – Faithwire

Todd Tilghman is a pastor, husband, and father of eight children – he’s also the winner of “The Voice 2020”.

If you’re a fan of NBC’s “The Voice” competition, you know when contestants try-out, they’re praying that just one of the judges will turn around and pick them. During Todd Tilghman’s audition, all four judges swung around in their seats. So it’s no wonder he wound up the 2020 winner.

Tilghman chose Blake Shelton as his coach when the show premiered in February. Prior to the show, he said he had only ever sung at church.

In the finale, where each singer performed from home, Tilghman wowed the judges with Christian band Mercy Me’s popular hit “I Can Only Imagine.”

“My wife, Brooke, told me I would regret it if I didn’t go,” he said. “Thank God for her and thank God I changed my mind and decided to go. It’s been like a dream. Everyone keeps telling me to just soak it in, but it’s hard to do because you just can’t believe you are really there.”

The 41-year-old pastor of Cornerstone Church in Meridian, MS is the oldest performer to win out of the show’s 18 seasons.

Tilghman tells CBN the entire experience has actually been good for his family. “We’ve always been a really close family, but I actually think this has caused us to come even closer,” he said.

His win earned him $100,000 and a record deal. Now there’s also talk of a book, and maybe even a reality TV show.

“I would love to share my faith and my family and who I am with the world,” he told CBN. “And show the world that there’s someone like me who just loves them unconditionally.”

Let’s pour it out! Netflix renews ‘Sweet Magnolias’ for season 2! –

Who’s ready to pour it out and return to Serenity? Netflix has made our quarantine with the announcement that they’ve renewed one of our new favorite series, Sweet Magnolias for a second season.

Sweet Magnolias, which premiered May 19, was just the kind of television show we needed during quarantine. If you love Hallmark movies, this show is for you! It was everything a great southern drama should be, complete with man-candy and ships — both young and old — that were enough to make you swoon.

We’re ready to pour it out with these three wonderful ladies for another season!

But perhaps most important, this second season renewal gives us clarity, if nothing else. If you haven’t watched Sweet Magnolias — what are you waiting for?! — the season one finale ended with a monster of a cliffhanger (read our speculation here).

Sweet Magnolias, based on the bestselling series of the same name by Sherryl Woods, tells the story of three best friends — Maddie, Dana Sue, and Helen — and their hectic, but sometimes blessed lives. More than that, there are a whole cast of secondary characters that get to shine — including the kids, Tyler, Annie, and Kyle, as well as arguably the most beautiful man on this show, Erik.

I mean, Netflix simply couldn’t deny us more Erik. JUST LOOK AT HIM.

There are so many storylines left to be told in this series, which makes us so thrilled for what’s to come in season 2. The season 1 finale cliffhanger presents so many amazing story arcs for multiple characters, and we can’t wait to see how this town and these characters will be impacted.

One of the best and most surprising parts of Sweet Magnolias was how amazing the kids were on this show. While they were somewhat secondary characters, they really held their own opposite some incredible actors. And given the events of the season one finale, there’s reason to believe there are big things in store for Ty, Annie, and Kyle.

Not to mention, Sweet Magnolias gave us the epic slowburn that is Ty and Annie, which was just one of several ships that had us clamoring for more.

We’re more than ready for some more Ty and Annie in season 2!

While we don’t know when Sweet Magnolias season 2 will premiere on Netflix, just knowing there’s a second season is enough to keep us satisfied. We’re going to take note from Hamilton — we’re willing to wait for it. Just, not too long, please.
