Nicki Minaj Calls Out Rappers With ‘Sketchy Pasts’ Who Still Hang Out With Snitches

Nicki Minaj has called out rappers with ‘sketchy pasts’ who still hang out with snitches following her collaboration with Tekashi 6ix9ine.

The rapper released the song Trollz with Tekashi yesterday, June 12, following his stint in prison; something fpr which she’s received plenty of backlash.

Tekashi famously sang like a canary on his former fellow Nine Trey members in a bid to shorten his prison time. He’s since been dubbed a snitch for doing so, though Minaj has defended him.

Speaking on an Instagram live video on Thursday, June 11, the 37-year-old Starships singer explained the difference between a rapper and ‘street n****s’.

In her chat with Tekashi, Minaj said:

I feel street n****s have every right to feel how they want to feel about snitching because they live that life. I feel rappers need to play it easy because everybody mingles and integrates with everybody, and if a top executive rat calls one of y’all unsigned rappers right now to sign y’all, y’all signing.

I’m not on the block with 6ix9ine. Me and 6ix9ine is not on the block. We in the music business. You rappers is in rooms all the time with people with sketchy pasts and I’m not judging anybody ’cause I’m not doing that. I have nothing but respect for so many of these people and I would never fix my face to talk crazy about them.

She added, ‘Rappers gotta just play it easy because y’all know that y’all bend the rules for certain people.’ Tekashi also called out Snoop Dogg – again.

Minaj added, however, she ‘respects’ her husband Kenneth Petty, who ‘doesn’t f*ck with the snitch culture’ and has ‘lived a different life’.

Trollz is the second single to be released by Tekashi since leaving prison, and has generated almost 60 million views since the video was dropped on YouTube just two days ago.

This track follows the record breaking song Gooba, which landed just over a month after Tekashi’s release. Gooba became YouTube’s most-viewed hip-hop video within a 24-hour time span, beating a record previously held by Eminem for his savage 2018 diss track Killshot.

A portion of the proceeds from sales of Trollz and related merchandise will go towards supporting The Bail Project, a US organisation working to combat mass incarceration while tackling racial and economic disparities within the US bail system.

Dua Lipa Celebrates Her First Anniversary With Anwar Hadid

Pop singer Dua Lipa and model Anwar Hadid, younger brother to Bella and Gigi, sparked serious romance rumors over the Fourth of July weekend when they were seen packing on PDA at a U.K. music festival. Could these two young stars be the next celebrity couple to watch? Here’s everything we know about their link-up so far.

May-June 2018: Hadid breaks up with Nicola Peltz—and makes out with Kendall Jenner.

The youngest Hadid had been dating actress Nicola Peltz for over a year, but they split amicably in May 2018, her rep confirmed to Page Six. The couple didn’t address their breakup on social media, so when photos of Hadid’s infamous makeout session with Kendall Jenner surfaced in June 2018, fans questioned whether he and Peltz were still together. After images of the hookup went viral, the actress reportedly unfollowed the whole Hadid family. Interestingly enough, Peltz went on to date singer Paul Jason Klein of LANY, one of Dua Lipa’s exes, but she announced that they broke up in February 2019.

Early June 2019: Lipa splits from longtime boyfriend Isaac Carew.

The singer and model-turned-chef had dated on and off for about five years before parting ways early last month, according to ELLE. One of their last major public appearances was at the Met Gala on May 6. The Sun pointed out at the time that Carew unfollowed Lipa, essentially confirming their split, which was reportedly due to scheduling conflicts. The former couple also posted melancholy messages on their Instagrams, further hinting that they had broken up.

Early June 2019: Things heat up between Hadid and Lipa after they bond over music.

According to TMZ, 20-year-old Hadid also makes music and showed his work to 23-year-old Lipa, who’s friends with his sister Gigi. The outlet reported that “things really started to snowball around early June” when the model found out the “New Rules” star had split from her beau and “reached out to her for a date.” Sources told the site that the pair “went out, had a good time and liked each other enough to run it back.”

For those unfamiliar with Anwar’s tunes, check out his debut album, Bleach, which he released in April.

Late June 2019: Lipa is seen at Hadid’s birthday party.

Dating speculation amped up after the British pop star was seen in a video of the model’s birthday celebrations. The Sun captured a video posted to Instagram showing Lipa, dressed in a skirt and tank top, laughing as Hadid held his birthday cake. Her cameo was short, but it was enough to further fuel romance rumors.

At the time, The Sun also reported that the two had already gone on a “string of dates,” including a hangout in Malibu the week prior. A source told the outlet that Lipa had been spending time in Los Angeles since her split from Carew, and became close with Hadid, “who she really gets on with.”

Meghan Markle’s BFF Jessica Mulroney Fired After Racist Comments

Meghan Markle’s best friend Jessica Mulroney has been fired from her TV job after racist comments have emerged.

Keep scrolling to find out more…

It has just been announced that Meghan Markle’s best friend, Jessica Mulroney, has been fired over racist comments.

via: Getty

This comes just a week after the duchess issued a statement about the “Black Lives Matter” movement.

But firstly, let’s recap a few things…

Meghan was known way before she became a member of the British Royal Family.

via: Getty

The thirty-eight-year-old was recognized as an actress, particularly for her recurring role in the TV series Suits.

But this all changed in 2016…

via: Getty

When Meghan started dating Prince Harry, her career as an actress seemed to be instantly swapped for a life fulfilling royal duties.

They married in May, 2018…

via: Getty

Which made Meghan an official part of the Royal Family.

She relocated to London and was given the title, the Duchess of Sussex.

The couple announced their pregnancy shortly after the wedding…

And Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor was born in May of 2019.

Even though the little family seemed to radiate with happiness…

via: Getty

Things were far from the case behind the scenes as Meghan was relentlessly attacked by the British press and public.

Anything she did or said…

via: Getty

The British media had something to say about it.

Whether she was being branded as a diva, a control-freak, a “monarchy ruiner,” and even a bad mother, Meghan received it all.

Even though Meghan bravely put a smile on her face throughout it all…

via: Getty

There’s absolutely no doubt that she was struggling.

Meghan and Harry made the bold decision to step down from royal duties earlier this year.

In a joint statement, the couple said that they wanted “a normal upbringing for their child” and they feel that spending their time between the U.K and America would be much more appropriate for their family environment.

Even though the family is now spending a lot of their time in Los Angeles…

via: Getty

Meghan is still receiving a lot of heat from the British press for “breaking up the royal family.”

It seems that Meghan literally can’t do anything right…

via: Getty

And so many have now realized that this hate is a matter of racism.

Meghan is the first-ever person of color to join the Royal Family…

And no other royal has ever received the volume of hate in which Meghan has – not even Prince Andrew, who was accused of being involved in the Jeffrey Epstein sex trafficking scandal.

Meghan’s life was made a living hell for absolutely no reason…

And this sadly goes to show that racism isn’t just a problem here in America, but it is apparent worldwide.

Things need to change…

via: Getty

And many have been speaking out about their own experiences of racism… including Meghan herself.

Even though Meghan currently doesn’t have social media…

via: Instagram

Footage of her has emerged from 2012 speaking candidly about her own experiences with racism growing up as a woman of color.

She was seen wearing an “I won’t stand for racism” t-shirt…

via: Instagram

And she begins by saying:

“My name’s Meghan Markle and I’m here because I think it’s a really important campaign to be a part of. For me, I think it hits a really personal note. I’m bi-racial, most people can’t tell what I’m mixed with and so much of my life has felt like being a fly on the wall. And so some of the slurs that I’ve heard or the really offensive jokes, or the names, it’s just hit me in a really strong way.”

“I heard someone call my mom the N word.”

via: Instagram

“So I think for me, beyond being personally affected by racism, just to see the landscape of what our country is like right now, and certainly the world, and to want things to be better,” she explained.

Meghan feels she has been treated differently because of her race…

via: Getty

“Quite honestly, your race is part of what defines you. I think what shifts things is that the world really treats you based on how you look. Certain people don’t look at me and see me as a black woman or a biracial woman. They treat me differently, I think, than they would if they knew what I was mixed with, and I think that that is—I don’t know, it can be a struggle as much as it can be a good thing depending on the people that you’re dealing with.”

It’s clear that racism is a huge issue for Meghan…

via: Getty

As it is to millions of people around the world, in particular those of the black community.

But it has just emerged that someone very close to Meghan has been accused of racism.

Jessica Mulroney, a Canadian fashion designer and TV personality, has just been fired from her TV presenting gig after been accused of racism during an argument with a social media influencer.

She clashed with lifestyle blogger Sasha Exeter in the wake of the George Floyd protests…

She has been accused of “sending a threat” to Sasha in an example of “textbook white privilege” after she “took offense” at being asked to speak up about racism.

Sasha was frustrated with Jessica for not using her large platform to raise awareness for “Black Lives Matter.”

Sasha said that Jessica is “very vocal” about other causes and her friend Meghan is “arguably one of the most famous black women in the world.”

Jessica then allegedly retorted by saying, “I have also spoken to companies and people about the way you have treated me unfairly. You think your voice matters. Well, it only matters if you express it with kindness and without shaming people who are simply trying to learn. Good luck.”

Jessica’s response “scared” Sasha and she took it as a threat to her career…

And last night, CTV announced that Mulroney’s reality show I Do, Redo had been removed from all its channels “effective immediately.”

“Recent conduct by one of our shows’ hosts, Jessica Mulroney, conflicts with our commitment to diversity and equality,” a statement said.

Jessica soon apologized to Sasha on Instagram…

via: Instagram

“I did not intend in any way to jeopardize her livelihood. We had a disagreement and it got out of hand. For that I am sorry. The events that have transpired over the last few days have made it clear that I have work to do,” she said.

“I realize more than ever how being a white, privileged woman has put me far ahead of so many, and in particular those in the black community. And while I can’t change the past, I can do my part to do better in the future.”

Jessica’s friend and fellow TV presenter Tracy Moore publically called her out on Instagram…

“Here’s what I know: @JessicaMulroney used her extreme privilege to potentially bury a Black sister. @sashaexeter took a brave step telling her story.
Believe black women,” she wrote.

And of course…

Twitter has been left furious over Jessica’s actions.

It seems Jessica is desperate to regain her good reputation…

Because things certainly aren’t looking good behind the scenes.

People are livid that Jessica had the nerve to apologize publically…

And then proceed to send even more threats behind closed doors.

This truly goes to show Jessica’s true colors…

And people who believe it is okay to behave towards others in this way deserve to be exposed and called out.

It is not okay.

Paul McCartney proudly announces the thirteenth installment in his GRAMMY Award-winning Archive Collection: On July 31, Paul’s critically acclaimed and universally beloved tenth solo album Flaming Pie will be the latest to receive the Archive Collection treatment, being released on formats including a 5CD/2DVD/4LP Collector’s Edition, a 5CD/2DVD Deluxe Edition, plus 3LP, 2LP and 2CD editions.

All digital pre-orders for the Archive Collection release of Flaming Pie will include YOUNG BOY. Also available as a stand-alone for digital download & streaming, the EP recreates the 1997 “Young Boy” maxi single and features the remastered Flaming Pie single “Young Boy,” a home-recorded version of the song, the original B-side “Looking For You,” and excerpts of “Oobu Joobu Part 1,” also from the original single. The two music videos for the track have been restored and will also be published on the same day.

Two additional EPs will be available with “The World Tonight” arriving on June 26 and “Beautiful Night” on July 17.

Originally released May 5, 1997, Flaming Pie ended a four-year gap between McCartney studio albums. Recorded largely in the wake of Paul’s involvement in the curation and release of The Beatles Anthology series, Flaming Pie was shaped and inspired by that experience, with Paul remarking at the time “(The Beatles Anthology) reminded me of The Beatles’ standards and the standards that we reached with the songs. So in a way it was a refresher course that set the framework for this album.” Produced by Paul, Jeff Lynne and George Martin and featuring a supporting cast of family and friends including Ringo Starr, Steve Miller, Linda McCartney and son James, Flaming Pie is equal parts a masterclass in songcraft and a sustained burst of joyful spontaneity. With highlights ranging from the uplifting and inspirational opener “The Song We Were Singing” to the raucous title track (named for a quote from an early John Lennon interview on the origin of The Beatles’ name: “It came in a vision – a man appeared on a flaming pie and said unto them, ‘from this day on you are Beatles with an A.'”) to the pensive “Calico Skies,” and featuring singles “Young Boy,” “The World Tonight” and “Beautiful Night,” Flaming Pie would represent yet another pinnacle in Paul’s solo catalogue: Released to rapturous reviews, the album would be Paul’s most commercially successful release of the ’90s, achieving his highest chart positions since the ’80s and would receive gold certifications in the US, UK, Japan and more.

As the thirteenth release in the Paul McCartney Archive Collection, Flaming Pie will be available in formats including a numbered, limited seven-disc (5CD/2DVD) Deluxe Edition Box Set comprised of the original album remastered at Abbey Road Studios, 32 bonus audio tracks including unheard home recordings and demos, alternative studio recordings, rough mixes and B-sides including selections from Oobu Joobu parts 1-6, Flaming Pie At The Mill CD (Paul’s hour-long tour of his studio), video content including the  In The World Tonight documentary, original music videos, EPKs, interviews, performances and behind-the-scenes material, a 128-page book containing previously unpublished images by Linda McCartney, expanded album artwork from the archives and the story behind the album written by Chris Heath – including track-by-track information, recipes and new interviews with Paul, Ringo Starr, Jeff Lynne, Steve Miller and key album personnel, studio notes, handwritten lyrics, the 1997 Flaming Pie issue of Club Sandwich, the official newspaper of the Paul McCartney Fanclub, downloadable 24bit 96kHz HD audio, and more.

A 4LP/5CD/2DVD Collector’s Edition — strictly limited to 3,000 numbered copies issued in a cloth wrapped two-piece collector’s box — will feature everything in the Deluxe Edition plus a marbled art print portfolio of six silkscreened Linda McCartney art prints, exclusive vinyl versions of the remastered album cut at half speed across 2LPs in an exclusive gatefold sleeve, an LP of home recordings in a hand-stamped white label sleeve, and “The Ballad of the Skeletons” – Paul’s 1996 collaboration with Allen Ginsberg, also featuring Philip Glass and Lenny Kaye – released for the first time on vinyl and cut at 45 RPM with vinyl etching and poster.

Additional Flaming Pie Archive Collection formats will include 2CD (remastered album + 21 tracks of bonus audio), 2LP (remastered album cut at half speed across two 180g LPs in gatefold sleeve with booklet), and 3LP (remastered album cut at half speed across two 180g LPs in gatefold sleeve with booklet, plus single 180g LP of unreleased home recordings in hand-stamped white label sleeve both housed in a slipcase). The release will also be available on streaming platforms.

The Paul McCartney Archive Collection debuted with the November 2, 2010 re-release of Paul McCartney and Wings’ 1973 milestone Band on the Run, which won the 2010 GRAMMY Award for Best Historical Album, while the Archive Collection’s Deluxe Edition Box Set of the 1976 classic Wings Over America took the 2013 GRAMMY for Best Boxed or Special Limited Edition Package. Every release in the ongoing Paul McCartney Archive Collection is supervised by Paul himself, who oversees all aspects of each and every title from remastering to the curation of lost tracks, outtakes, artwork, photographs and video from his personal vaults, and much more. The result is one of the most ambitious and personal undertakings of its kind, one that encompasses more than 50 years of cherished, classic material from the most successful songwriter and recording artist in music history.

This marks the first time performance and guest segments from the influential television program’s historic 23-year primetime run will be officially available in their entirety across streaming services worldwide.

Among the voluminous gems in this vast catalog are iconic clips that have primarily only been available in excerpted versions on EdSullivan.com or as low-resolution digital “bootlegs.” Scores of rarities will also be available digitally for the first time. Icons and up-and-comers appeared on The Ed Sullivan Show, which welcomed entertainers and influential figures from just about every category of cultural relevance, including music, comedy, sports, film, dance and opera. Many segments will be upgraded to high-resolution clips as part of UMe’s strategic curation of a national treasure that has achieved international acclaim.

Available now, the first seven segments to stream under this new arrangement celebrate music artists, with a new video premiering every day and thousands more clips from the catalog to stream over the next three years. UMe plans one or more videos daily on The Ed Sullivan Show’s official YouTube channel and EdSullivan.com, both newly updated.

Bruce Resnikoff, UMe President & CEO, said, “UMe is proud to continue its successful relationship with SOFA Entertainment. Together we will transform an incredible treasure trove from The Ed Sullivan Show to the streaming era and to new audiences. Ed Sullivan was a pioneer of his time and is responsible for many pivotal TV performances and significant moments in entertainment history. We will now introduce these high-quality landmark television performances from musicians, comedians and Broadway that catapulted the careers of many icons to a global audience.”

“SOFA Entertainment is thrilled to continue its decade-long relationship with UMe,” said Andrew Solt, CEO of SOFA Entertainment. “The UMe team has the passion and expertise to honor Ed Sullivan’s legacy and create new ways for people around the world to enjoy it. I’m overjoyed that the SOFA Entertainment stewardship is now in the hands of my son, Josh, who has experience with digital content including five years at Google.”

Josh Solt, who is now President of SOFA Entertainment, said, “We have enormous potential to build The Ed Sullivan Show into a global brand. I am extremely excited that UMe shares SOFA Entertainment’s vision to make The Ed Sullivan Show accessible to existing fans and future generations.”

The Ed Sullivan Show brought the hottest performances from around the world and introduced emerging talent to America’s living room every Sunday night. The show featured some of the earliest or first televised performances of music superstars including Elvis Presley, Stevie Wonder, The Band, The Beach Boys, The Beatles, The Jackson 5, The Mamas and the Papas, The Supremes, and The Rolling Stones. Families also gathered together on Sunday nights to see their favorite film stars and sports figures. The Ed Sullivan Show previewed films (African Queen, American In Paris, Best Years Of Our Lives, Bridge On The River Kwai, Roman Holiday) and interviewed icons: Brigitte Bardot, Charlton Heston, Elizabeth Taylor, Gregory Peck, Humphrey Bogart, Lauren Bacall, Peter Sellers, Richard Burton, Sophia Loren, and Steve McQueen.

Ed Sullivan, who was personally involved in his show’s bookings, was known to have said he wanted to “entertain all of the people some of the time” – from providing grandparents with glimpses of vaudeville to offering parents Hollywood stars and sports figures to bringing teenagers their next poster idols, and youngsters the Italian mouse, Topo Gigio. Over the course of two decades, he cast aside racial, political and cultural boundaries to ensure that audiences witnessed the best and the brightest.

In a time of segregation, Ed Sullivan, an influential Civil Rights advocate, invited African-American actors (Pearl Bailey, Diahann Carroll), athletes (Muhammad Ali, Jackie Robinson), comedians (Richard Pryor, Flip Wilson) and musicians (Harry Belafonte, James Brown, Motown artists such as Four Tops, The Temptations, The Supremes), to name just a few, to appear on the show.

For many Motown artists, a performance on The Ed Sullivan Show represented a pivotal career milestone bringing their talents to mainstream America and catapulting them to the top of the charts with breakout success. He was the first to bring country music (Chet Atkins, Johnny Cash, Loretta Lynn, Jimmy Dean, Brenda Lee and Buck Owens) to national television viewers.

Ed Sullivan sought out international talent, entertainers, performers and influential personalities from the U.K. (18 Groups/Singers of the British Invasion, Julie Andrews, Cliff Richard), France (Johnny Hallyday, Edith Piaf, Brigitte Bardot), Italy (Sophia Loren, Gina Lollobrigida), Spain (Andrés Segovia, Salvador Dalí, José Greco), Germany (Obernkirchen Children’s Choir), Japan (The Blue Comets), Ireland (Peter O’Toole, The Clancy Brothers, The Dubliners) and Israel (Prime Minister David Ben-Gurion).

Mainstream America’s introduction to Broadway, classical, opera and ballet was often through exposure on The Ed Sullivan Show. Broadway productions were frequently encapsulated into extended segments along with the great songwriters, such as Rodgers and Hammerstein, Cole Porter, Irving Berlin, George Gershwin and Lerner and Lowe, who often brought the original casts of their musicals, including My Fair Lady (Julie Andrews, Rex Harrison), Bye Bye Birdie (Dick Van Dyke, Chita Rivera, Paul Lynde), Oliver! (Davy Jones), Camelot (Richard Burton, Julie Andrews) and more. Classical violinist and then 13-year-old prodigy Itzhak Perlman was invited to perform, and Louisiana-born classical pianist Van Cliburn appeared after winning the Tchaikovsky competition in Russia. Spain’s classical guitarist Andrés Segovia, and Japan’s Suzuki Violins, also graced The Ed Sullivan Show stage. Among the most famous and celebrated sopranos from the world of opera, Maria Callas, who rarely made public appearances, performed Tosca, and Beverly Sills performed an aria. Dance included mambo, tango, tap (Sammy Davis, Jr.) and Russia’s Moiseyev Ballet.

The Ed Sullivan Show prided itself on celebrating the superstars as much as the up-and-coming and the offbeat, including acrobatic teams, dance teams, drill teams, college sport teams, rifle teams, marching bands, novelty acts, plate spinners and jugglers. Occasionally, Ed Sullivan also gave political figures a platform to speak to America, including presidents, senators and governors.

Launching on YOUTUBE, the first segments below showcase landmark live musical performances.
