Michael B. Jordan, Kendrick Sampson Lead Protest Ripping Trump, Cops and Hollywood

The actors and activists led a long BLM march Saturday through parts of L.A. and also Bev Hills. “Insecure” star Kendrick was the most vocal, leading chants like “F**k Donald Trump” and “Black lives they matter here” as they went.

They led the crowd right to the doorstep of Bev Hills PD, and that’s when Kendrick made a fiery speech that centered on two things: defunding police departments and getting President Trump out of office … even before the election.

Michael also addressed the protesters but was much less political … instead, he shouted down the Hollywood establishment. MBJ demanded studios and agents give black culture more of a voice and more power.

More FM radio host Jay-Jay Feeney has split from her boyfriend Minou, saying a long distance relationship is too hard under the current circumstances.

Feeney and Minou, who is Algerian, met online in early 2018, but didn’t go public with their relationship until October 2019, when the Drive Show host told listeners she had met someone she was “really into.”

Jay-Jay Feeney and her boyfriend Minou have broken up after more than two years of long-distance dating.

Minou, a 28-year-old accountant, visited New Zealand in December last year and the pair set off on a loved-up road trip that Feeney catalogued extensively on Instagram.

When Minou went back to Algeria in January, Feeney said: “It’s quite hard because I don’t know when I’ll see him again.”

Feeney told Stuff the pair had broken up a few days ago.

Feeney was forced to address allegations that her relationshp with Minou was a “stunt.”

“I suggested it,” she said.

“It was mutual though because we both understand we have no choice.”

Asked whether travel restrictions caused by the Covid-19 pandemic had made it too difficult to continue the long distance relationship, Feeney said it was “exactly that”.

Feeney’s last Instagram post about Minou was on May 5.

She captioned a selfie of the pair: “This is the moment I met Minou in the flesh in the Maldives in 2018. I miss him”, followed by a crying face emoji.

It’s been a hard few months for Feeney, who said she lost a relative to coronavirus in March.

Tom Jones recalls the moment he fell in love with late wife – Starts at 60

Tom Jones, who turns 80 today, has paid tribute to his late wife Linda on his birthday. During a BBC Radio 2 documentary to mark the milestone birthday, the ‘Sex Bomb’ singer revealed that he met his future wife when they were playing marbles as teenagers.

“I remember her playing marbles and I thought, ‘My God, what great legs she’s got’,” the Welsh icon recalled. “And then she stood up and she was as pretty in the face as her legs were.”

He continued: “Then we started playing kiss-chase. I felt different when I kissed her, and she felt the same way. We started dancing together when we were 15. She would look great. She was the best-looking girl around there and we got together. It was magic.”

Tom married Linda at the age of 17 and the pair stayed together for 59 years until she sadly died of lung cancer in 2016. “The more I think about it, it was destiny that she happened to be born around the corner,” he added.

Meghan Markle ‘back to her old self before joining Royals’ says friend | Entertainment Daily

Meghan Markle delivered a powerful speech about Black Lives Matter on Thursday (June 4) – and the impact it made on Meghan herself did not go unnoticed.

An old friend told Vanity Fair she seemed back to her old self.

They were commenting on the way Meghan was before she got married to Prince Harry.

Meghan, who is herself mixed race, delivered a virtual address to graduating pupils at her old school.

‘Their lives matter’

Speaking to pupils at Immaculate Heart High School in Los Angeles, she also named other African Americans who were killed by police in recent years.

The actress, who attended the school from the age of 11 to 18, said: “George Floyd’s life mattered and Breonna Taylor’s life mattered and Philando Castile’s life mattered and Tamir Rice’s life mattered.”

Meghan told friends she was nervous before giving the speech, the magazine reported.

But now a friend  who “works closely with her on her charity work” said the duchess was being “100 per cent” herself.

She explained that Meghan sounded “less restrained”.

The friend added that Meghan seemed more like she was before she joined the royal family.

“Listening to her was like hearing the old Meghan,” the friend said.

“She sounds less restrained and more herself and much more how I remember her from when we first met, way back before she was a member of the royal family.”

Another source added that there had been a lot of discussion about the speech.

Meghan was worried about getting the tone right.

She also feared being criticised for it.

She said: “I wasn’t sure what I could say to you.

“I wanted to say the right thing and I was really nervous that it would get picked apart. And I realised the only wrong thing to say is to say nothing.”
