Alice Cooper Wants Johnny Depp To Play Him In A Biopic And It Needs To Happen

If you are a rock fan, there is no way you would not have heard the name of Alice Cooper. One of the biggest names in rock history, Cooper has had a successful career spanning over 50 years and it is a sheer testament to the legendary status he has achieved over the years. With a remarkable career as long as that, it is quite common that fans expect a biopic.

Be it, Freddie Mercury or Elton John, biopics have always been a great alternate way to immortalize one’s work. And now in a recent interview with Yahoo Entertainment, Alice Cooper was asked who he’d like to play him in a biopic. The answer was not very surprising, considering he chose Johnny Depp, a Hollywood icon who knows the craft of acting more than most people around.

“And if Johnny Depp were just better looking, he could play me…” – Alice Cooper

LMAO these two ?

According to NME, it all happened in 2012, when Cooper met Johnny Depp on the set of the movie “Dark Shadows.” The rock icon even had a cameo in that movie. Both the legends built their friendship from there and soon found themselves playing in the same band together, Hollywood Vampires.

Got to chat with @alicecooper for @yahooent and my pet snake sat in. She was starstruck & speechless! We talked #snakes, #WaynesWorld, #MuppetShow, #SgtPepper & more. Scroll to the bottom of article for the extended nearly hour-long interview! https://t.co/EGj24bgARM

When Cooper was initially asked if he’d actually wanted a biopic, he responded: “I hope it’s not of those where we get to die first… Usually it’s gonna happen with bands that were extremely commercially successful, whereas Alice was successful and we sold a lot of records, but I did not appeal to everybody.”

“I was definitely on the darker side. And I think that it would make a great movie, myself. And if Johnny Depp were just better looking, he could play me,” he joked.

“Who do you envision playing you in a movie?” is a question everybody gets, and it’s one Alice Cooper has given some thought to, and the answer for him is Johnny Depp.

Cooper continued: “Johnny would be the best guy to play me because he really likes to take those characters that nobody else wants to play. And he loves prosthetics — he would get my nose in there and the whole thing like that. He knows me well enough now where he could imitate me pretty well, I’m pretty sure.”

Sounds good! Johnny can adapt to pretty much any character and he knows Alice Cooper very well.

As soon as the internet got to know about this interview, they couldn’t contain their excitement and even said this biopic needs to happen. One Twitter user said: “I can see that. Alice looks incredible for his age. Johnny just looks incredible.” Meanwhile, another user said: “That would be totally awesome.!! Would absolutely love love to see it. Johnny would blow it out of the water. The exact same way he does all his movies. A third quipped in saying: Who wouldn’t want Johnny Depp to play the lead role in their life story.

Even at the age of 72, Alice Cooper seems like he is not done with music anytime soon. The iconic rockstar recently shared a new song titled ‘Don’t Give Up’, that is about the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. “It’s a song about what we’ve all been going through right now and about keeping our heads up and fighting back together,” Cooper said in a statement. “And whatever you do – Don’t Give Up!”

Colin Kaepernick and Chrissy Teigen offer bail money and lawyers for protesters – Rolling Out

Celebrities are very involved in the struggle for justice on a myriad of fronts.

The likes of J. Cole, Ray J, ex-NBA star Stephen Jackson and many others have joined the protests and marches that have broken out in America’s marquee cities this past week following the death of George Floyd.

On another front, some celebrities such as Beyoncé, Rihanna and Drake have delivered powerful messages to their many millions of Instagram followers about how they feel in the aftermath of Floyd’s shocking death.

And in the legal realm, other celebrities are trying to ensure the protesters they have little to fear if they are locked up from legally and peacefully protesting in the streets of America.

Exiled NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick assured the people pouring into the streets of Minneapolis in particular that he will back them with legal representation for protesting oppression and police brutality.

In fighting for liberation there‘s always retaliation. We must protect our Freedom Fighters. We started a legal defense initiative to give legal representation to Freedom Fighters in Minneapolis paid for by @yourrightscamp

Former supermodel Chrissy Teigen, the wife of iconic singer John Legend, said she is pledging $200K to bail out people if they are arrested during the protests.

“In celebration of whatever the f— maga night is, I am committed to donating $100,000 to the bail outs of protestors across the country,” she wrote proudly and defiantly in a Twitter post that got nearly a million likes.

After contemplating the amount, a fan wondered if $100k would be enough with the millions taking to the streets.

Ooo they might need more money then. Make it $200,000 https://t.co/axuJnazJkU

Oscar-nominated actor Don Cheadle and even some White celebs have offered to chip in some coins to the cause, including popular comedic actor Seth Rogan and actor Steve Carell, who are offering to join the fight from the legal end.

Best and Worst Dressed List From 2020 Golden Globes Red Carpet

Awards season always kicks into high gear with the Golden Globes; a night when the most buzz-worthy and critically acclaimed actors and actresses of the year step up their glamour and officially declare themselves willing and ready to receive all the accolades. It’s a night for making statements and yanking the spotlight on you for just a liiiittle longer—and these are the smart folks who used their fashion choices to do both. Step aside, wallflowers. This is a night for the bold and the savvy.

Best Keep-It-Simple Look: Ana de Armas in Ralph and Russo

Daniele VenturelliGetty Images

The star of Knives Out kept things drop-dead gorgeous in this simple but dramatic midnight blue gown. The sweep of the silhouette, the drama of the color and a flawlessly made-up face combined to make for an exquisitely rendered look.

Best Sparkly Tux of the Night: Phoebe Waller-Bridge in Ralph and Russo

Frazer HarrisonGetty Images

The star of Fleabag served up chic confidence in an oh-so English tweedy tuxedo that looked amazingly sharp *and* sexy on her. The tousled hair was the perfect insouciantly fabulous touch.

Best Boho-Glam: Laura Dern in Saint Laurent

Steve GranitzGetty Images

This may be one of the best representations of a star’s personal style on this red carpet. This glittery sheer floral gown combines an old school Hollywood feel with a modern and laid back style that feels so perfectly Laura Dern.

Best Old-School Glamour: Scarlett Johansson in Vera Wang

Daniele VenturelliGetty Images

The star of Marriage Story stepped onto the red carpet looking every inch the Prestige Movie Star in a stunning red gown with a boldly plunging neckline and massive skirt, lending her a sexy air with a regal undertone.

Most Welcome Use of Print: Taylor Swift in Etro

Jon KopaloffGetty Images

Perhaps the Cats star felt the need to stand out just a little from her fellow attendees or perhaps Tay was just feeling the florals t0night. Whatever her reasons for choosing this gorgeously colorful large-scale pattern, the results paid off for her.

Best Ruffle: Awkwafina in Dior

Steve GranitzGetty Images

Our other favorite take on a tuxedo motif? Awkwafina, with an exuberant collar that suited the star of The Farewell; hitting her style sweet spot by being sophisticated, eye-catching, and quirky all at the same time.

Most Effortlessly Chic: Zoe Kravitz in Saint Laurent

Daniele VenturelliGetty Images

Zoe has a knack for making the most painstakingly curated red-carpet ensembles seem like she just threw them together and wound up looking amazing. The earrings, the hair, and the lip color also all work in perfect harmony with that cute and fabulously eye-catching gown.

Best Elbow-Throwing Look: Jodie Comer in Mary Katrantzou

Frazer HarrisonGetty Images

Perhaps the Killing Eve actress was paying tribute to her most iconic costume—that massive pink dress she wore in season two—or perhaps she simply wanted to be comfortable for the night, but Jodie Comer’s loud, satin gown demands that you (and maybe Baby Yoda?) make way for it and we kind of love her for that.

Best Sci-Fi Goth Queen: Lucy Boynton in Louis Vuitton

VALERIE MACONGetty Images

She’s known for her out-there doll style on the red carpet, but the star of The Politician opted to take her typical aesthetic and turn it into more of a Victorian-Robot-Girl one with this unmissable and unforgettable all-metallic look that felt fresh and glam.

Most Dramatic: Billy Porter in Alex Vinash

Frazer HarrisonGetty Images

Any time this maestro of the red carpet steps out in feathers is a guaranteed good time—especially if there’s a massive and dramatic train involved. Once again, Mr. Porter shows everyone else how it’s done.

Highest Difficulty Sitting: Joey King in Iris Van Herpen

George PimentelGetty Images

We’ll automatically applaud any lady who steps out on a red carpet in one of Iris Van Herpen’s singular creations; not just for the boldness and uniqueness of the looks, but the way the designs challenge the wearer to pull them off. We find ourselves wishing the skirt was gown length, however.

Most Head-Turning: Kerry Washington in Altuzarra

George PimentelGetty Images

It hard to make a boob chain look chic, but great styling, flawless bearing, and a dramatic skirt lend elegance and style to such a risky choice for Kerry Washington.

Most Low-Key: Saoirse Ronan in Celine

Frazer HarrisonGetty Images

The soft pink crystals and relaxed, edgy style suit the Little Women actress perfectly, even if the design seemed a little underwhelming. Her gorgeous hair and makeup helped the look tremendously, but she clearly didn’t dress to grab the spotlight.

Oddity of the Night: Cate Blanchett in Mary Katrantzou

Daniele VenturelliGetty Images

The combination of pale yellow, mega pleating, a tiered skirt, shell sleeves, and a silver beaded Wonder Woman bust was a whole lot to take in but it’s to La Blanchett’s credit that she managed to (mostly) pull it off—and that she’d choose such a unique design in the first place.

Biggest Flex: Jennifer Lopez in Valentino Couture

George PimentelGetty Images

We always say nominees should show up to major awards shows looking like they’re ready to pose holding a trophy, but J Lo’s bold and exuberant gown looked a bit too much like something you’d literally see in a trophy case.

Most Mismatched Couple: Priyanka Chopra in Cristina Ottaviano and Nick Jonas in Prada

George PimentelGetty Images

Priyanka’s simple, but gorgeous pink gown looked amazing on her, but Nick’s oddly proportioned Prada suit and bolo tie made a poor accompaniment.

Most Unfinished Gown: Charlize Theron in Dior

George PimentelGetty Images

Miss Charlize loves herself some Dior, but the bold green draped over another of those visible-boning bodices makes it look like the gown is either falling off or incomplete.

Biggest Disappointment: Margot Robbie in Chanel

Steve GranitzGetty Images

The star of Bombshell chose a gown with a heavily-beaded bodice and a skirt that looked a bit like an afterthought. The very definition of a scroll-down letdown.

Biggest Goop of the Night: Gwyneth Paltrow in Fendi

George PimentelGetty Images

Gwyneth won the night—so long as you consider being talked about the ultimate goal of the carpet. Her brown, sheer prairie gown, ruffled undergarments, a necklace inexplicably worn under the dress made for an…unforgettable look that everyone wound up talking about anyway. Well done, we guess!

YG Entertainment Finally Reveals Update On BLACKPINK Members’ Solo Projects – Koreaboo

YG Entertainment has finally released their update about BLACKPINK members’ solo projects, providing an update for Rosé, Lisa, and Jisoo.

In their statement posted on their website, they revealed Rosé’s solo project will be released first, following BLACKPINK’s full album.

YG has released JENNIE’s first-ever solo single ‘SOLO’ back in November 2018, and has been working on ROSÉ’s first-ever solo track for over a year.

We ask for your understanding on taking more time than expected, since we were planning to release multiple songs in an album format, rather than releasing a digital single.

ROSÉ’s solo works have already been completed, and its release date is planned to be in September after the release of BLACKPINK’s first-ever full-length album.

It is because all members agreed that BLACKPINK’s comeback as an entire group and their first-ever full-length album release is more important than anything.

They also revealed that both Lisa and Jisoo are also gearing up for solo projects, with Lisa’s already being ready for release.

Furthermore, LISA’s amazing solo single is already prepared for release, and we are currently preparing for JISOO’s solo single release as well.

The solo releases by the members will continue in sequential order, after the release of BLACKPINK’s first-ever full-length album release upcoming in September.
