THE National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) is looking into the death threats against actress Angel Locsin and other ABS-CBN stars on social media.
The actress posted the threat of a netizen on her instagram account, which stated that he will give a P200 million reward to those who will kill Locsin, Kim Chiu and Coco Martin.
The netizen, identified as NJ Abellanosa, also threatened to bomb the ABS-CBN compound.
“The concern of Ms Angel Locsin has been referred to the Cyber Crimes Division and the CCD is now coordinating with Ms. Locsin,” NBI Public Information Office chief Nick Suarez told reporters in a text message.
Suarez said they are waiting for Locsin to appear at the NBI to formally file a complaint.
“The NBI takes seriously any threats made against any person,” Suarez pointed out.
“If Angel Locsin and other artists receive threats of physical harm or other means sent through social media, and they feel that these threats are serious, they have the right to seek assistance from the NBI so their concerns can be properly addressed” Suarez added.
