Brad Pitt threw a pizza party for daughter Shiloh’s birthday which saw him reunite with ALL his kids | Daily Mail Online

It seems Brad Pitt‘s domestic life has taken a turn for the better, and just in time for his daughter Shiloh’s 14th birthday.

The Once Upon A Time In Hollywood star reportedly threw a lavish birthday party for his daughter Shiloh on Wednesday, according to The Sun.

The fete, to mark Shiloh’s 14th trip around the sun, was attended by all of her siblings, which included her eldest brother Maddox, 18 – who had up until recently been estranged from his father.

‘Brad really wanted to make Shiloh’s day special and had been planning it for a while, he can’t believe how grown up she is,’ a source told The Sun.

‘He has an expensive pizza oven at his house and made her favorite dish for the party, while also celebrating with a cake.’

The insider also said Shiloh’s siblings, 11-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne, Zahara, 15, Pax, 16, and Maddox, were all in attendance at the 56-year-old Oscar winner’s Los Feliz, California home.

‘Shiloh’s birthday really brought them all together, and she had plenty of presents to open on the day,’ the source continued.

‘One of Brad’s film editor pals put together a video of messages from her family and friends all over the world, some of whom she hadn’t seen in a while due to the pandemic.

‘Shiloh is really into photography and Brad also bought her a vintage Polaroid camera and created a book of all her best photographs from the past few years,’ the insider added.

And to top it all off, Pitt also surprised Shiloh with a studio session with a guitarist for lessons on how to play.

Brad’s children have been spending the majority of their time during the pandemic with their mom Angelina, 44, whose $25million home is mere minutes from Brad’s mansion.

It all stemmed from an allegedly heated fight on a private jet that year, which resulted in Angelina and Brad calling it quits and Maddox not speaking to his father for an extended period.

But more recently, sources claim the exes have been ‘getting on better’ since agreeing on a custody schedule for their children.

‘Brad’s kids are the most important thing to him. He tells his friends he learns so much about life from his own children,’ a source told Entertainment Tonight on Wednesday.

‘He and Angie have been getting along so much better since the custody rules have been worked out. They have come so far.’

Chrissy Teigen is lending a helping hand.

Since the May 25 death of African-American Minneapolis, Minn. resident George Floyd, protests have spread across the nation, resulting in a high number of arrests.

On Saturday afternoon, Teigen, 34, took to Twitter to announce her plan to donate $100,000 toward the bailouts of those arrested in the protests, jabbing President Donald Trump in the process.

“In celebration of whatever the f–k maga night is, I am committed to donating $100,000 to the bail outs of protestors across the country,” she wrote online, referencing Trump’s suggestion that Saturday was to be “MAGA Night at the White House.”

No stranger to backlash, Teigen faced criticism for her decision to support protestors, many followers calling her out for supporting “violent thugs.”

Another Twitter user, per Entertainment Tonight, slammed the model for supporting “rioters and criminals.”

“Ooo they might need more money then,” replied Teigen. “Make it $200,000.”

Teigen continued to slam those that oppose the protests, calling them “racist a–es” and “full of s–t.”

Protests were sparked around the country after Floyd died when a white police officer pinned his knee to Floyd’s neck for several minutes as he struggled for air and begged for his life.

“I prefer to be called OBO, not Odogwu” – Davido (video) – AkPraise

Nigerian artiste, David Adeleke, better known as Davido, has told his fans that prefers to be called ‘OBO’.

This comes after the singer shared a video of his fans chanting ‘Odogwu’ (Great Man) at him.

Lil Wayne on George Floyd’s Death: “If We Want to Place the Blame on Anybody, It Should Be Ourselves” | Consequence of Sound

Lil Wayne has addressed the killing of George Floyd, the Minneapolis man who died with the knee of police officer Derek Chauvin on his neck. In a conversation with Fat Joe on Instagram Live on Friday, Wayne said, “If we want to place the blame on anybody, it should be ourselves for not doing more than what we think we’re doing.”

The controversial remarks came after a conversation about the time a police officer saved Wayne’s life. At the age of 12, the precocious rapper discharged a hand-gun and shot himself in the chest. Robert Hooper, an off-duty cop whom Weezy referred to as “Uncle Bob,” appeared on the scene. He said that, on the way to the hospital, Cooper “sat in the backseat with me and held me in his arms.”

At the conclusion of that story, Fat Joe asked Lil Wayne about the death of George Floyd. Weezy responded by saying,

“I think when we see these situations, I think we also have to understand that we have to get very specific, we have to get so specific. And what I mean by that is we have to stop viewing it with such a broad view, meaning we have to stop placing the blame on the whole force and the whole everybody of a certain race or everybody with a badge. We have to actually get into who that person is. And if we want to place the blame on anybody, it should be ourselves for not doing more than what we think we’re doing.”

Later, Lil Wayne explained why he rarely involved himself in politics. “Some people put a tweet out and they think they did something. Some people wear a shirt and they think they did something. What you gonna do after that? Did you actually help the person? Did you actually help the family? Did you actually go out there and do something? So, if I ain’t about to do all that, then I ain’t about to do nothing. I’ll pray for ya.”

Finally, he suggested that many people expressing outrage haven’t done enough to educate themselves. “What we need to do is we need to learn about it more. If we wanna scream about something, know what we’re screaming about. If we wanna protest about something, know what we’re protesting about. Because if we wanna get into it, there’s a bunch of facts that we think we know that we don’t know. … We scream about things that, sometimes, they really ain’t true.”

Check out the clip about George Floyd below, and scroll onwards for the full conversation with Fat Joe, which begins around the 48-minute mark.

Back in 2016, Lil Wayne was heavily criticized when he claimed “there was no such thing as racism.” He cited his large number of white fans as evidence.

Last night, Lil Wayne released an expanded deluxe edition of his most recent album, Funeral.

Anthony James Dies, Unforgiven Star and Naked Gun 2 Villain Was 77

2020 has been a year of nonstop bad news, and today that continues as veteran character actor Anthony James has reportedly passed away. Particularly known for playing villainous roles in Westerns like Unforgiven and many other types of movies and television shows, James died of cancer two months short of his 78th birthday, perishing at the age of 77. Some have since begun planting trees in memory of James with those close to the actor now mourning his loss.

James was born as James Anthony on July 22, 1942, in Myrtle Beach, Carolina. An only child of Greek immigrants, Anthony had changed his name professionally when he started his acting career, so as to avoid confusion with the similarly-named actor Jimmy Anthony. Marika Palla, James’ mother, was said to be his hero, and after her death in 2008, the actor wrote the memoir Acting My Face to honor her memory. In the book, James reveals how he was only eight years old when his father died, leaving Marika to raise him on her own. When James reached adulthood, Marika encouraged him to pursue his dreams and the two set out for Los Angeles so James could launch an acting career.

Right away, James found some success with his life in Hollywood. His very first movie role was as Ralph in the 1967 movie In the Heat of the Night, a film that went on to win the Best Picture Oscar and instantly get James noticed by the rest of Hollywood. From that point forward, dozens of movie and TV roles would begin falling in James’ lap, and finding work was not difficult for James. On the small screen, he would shine in roles on shows like Gunsmoke, Hawaii Five-O, The A-Team, Simon & Simon, and Star Trek: The Next Generation. Hes also appeared in such movies as Burnt Offerings and Blue Thunder, also memorably spoofing the types of villains he typically portrayed in the 1991 comedy The Naked Gun 2½: The Smell of Fear.

In 1992, James retired from acting following his performance as Skinny Dubois in the hit Western Unforgiven, starring alongside Clint Eastwood, Gene Hackman, and Morgan Freeman. Like James’ first movie, Unforgiven also managed to capture the Oscar for Best Picture. This gives James the distinction of perfectly bookending his career with performances in two Best Picture winners, something most aspiring actors can only dream of. Following his acting run, James would relocate to the Boston area to spend the rest of his days as an artist, painting abstract artwork and writing poetry.

Never married and with no children, James is survived by the many, many friends he’s gotten to know throughout his life, and is especially missed by those in his community. By all accounts, James seems to have been the total opposite of the antagonists he’s played on screen. May he rest in peace. Those looking to make charitable donations in his memory can give to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. This news comes to us from The Hollywood Reporter.

Universal Bringing ‘The Wolfman’ Back to Life With Ryan Gosling Attached to Star

Universal is prepping a new take on another classic monster, Variety reports tonight, with Ryan Gosling attached to star in Wolfman, with the hunt for a director currently underway.

The title character had most recently been brought back to the screen in 2010’s The Wolfman, with Benicio Del Toro in the role. That movie was just one of several attempts Universal has made in recent years to reboot their movie monsters for modern audiences, with Leigh Whannell’s The Invisible Man this year beginning a new vision for the classic characters. Rather than making any further attempts to create an interconnected series of monster movies united under a “shared universe” umbrella, Universal is focusing on creator-driven standalone films.

Variety notes that Cory Finley (“Bad Education”) is one of the directors being considered for this particular project, but that no decisions have been made on that front just yet.

The film is based on a pitch from Gosling himself, who at one point was going to direct. Lauren Schuker Blum and Rebecca Angelo (“Orange is the New Black”) wrote the script.

Other monster movies in the works from Universal include Paul Feig’s Dark Army, Dexter Fletcher’s Renfield, Matt Stawski’s Monster Mash, and Elizabeth Banks’s The Invisible Woman.

‘Casper’ Just Turned 25 And Still Remains Our Favorite Childhood Ghost Movie

When it comes to supernatural movies, most of them show menacing or harmful spirits whose sole purpose is to harm humans. But, even then our morbid fascination with the afterlife has not swayed a bit and it is still very strong. Our love for all things spooky is glaringly visible during Halloween and while watching scary movies that we truly enjoy.

The audience got to see a refreshing side of the spirits in 1939 when Casper, the Friendly Ghost made its appearance on screen. Casper was a young and relentlessly kind protagonist desperate for a friend and longing to be accepted by people who are scared of his spectral presence. The story of Casper was adapted into a Noveltoon by Paramount Pictures in 1945 and it made its first comic book appearance in 1949 by St. John Publications, and later in 1952 by Harvey Comics. Since then, the friendly ghost has grown into a pretty big franchise.

But Casper only became a household name in 1995 with Universal Pictures’ release of Casper which told the backstory of the friendly ghost. Directed by Brad Silberling, the film features revolutionary CGI animation considering the time period it was released and the movie is also imbibed with the theme of friendship and grief. Not to mention, it is the perfect movie to introduce your children to the horror genre.

When the movie released, on Memorial Day weekend, the movie stayed in the #1 spot for two consecutive weeks and even beat Braveheart on its opening weekend. The movie follows the story of Casper and his three wicked uncles named Stinkie, Fatso, and Stretch, and they continue haunting a seaside mansion called Whipstaff Manor. This beautiful building is constructed by Spanish architect Antoni Gaudi and it is later inherited by the greedy Carrigan Crittenden.

In order to make the building ghost-free, he asks for the help of paranormal therapist Dr. James Harvey. When Dr. Harvey arrives at the place with his daughter Kat, Casper starts adoring her and she helps him remember his past. As their friendship grows, Dr. Harvey spends his time psychoanalyzing Casper’s uncles in order to help the confused souls to cross over. In order to show the ghosts in a spectral form, the special effects team embraced new graphics instead of using practical effects as seen in movies like Poltergeist and Ghostbusters.

Casper also empathizes with Kat when she tells him that she is forgetting the little details about her mother; like how she used to apply lipstick and how her perfume smelled.

Later on, it is revealed that Casper passed away due to pneumonia after playing too long in the snow on a sled he had begged his father to buy him. Casper premiered on this day 25 years ago and upon its release, the critics didn’t really like it. While the movie was praised for its amazing use of special effects, the movie got poor reviews because it focused on Casper as a dead child more than a ghost. However, with time, it has become a classic.

Whatever the case might be, Casper was definitely one of my favorite movies from childhood. Tell us about your favorite movie moment in the comments.

Clint Eastwood Shows No Sign Of Slowing Down Ahead Of His 90th Birthday

Academy Award-winning legend Clint Eastwood turns 90 this Sunday, and he shows no signs of slowing down. Eastwood first made a name for himself acting in Sergio Leone’s “spaghetti westerns,” only to become one of Hollywood’s most respected directors.

And now, despite entering into what most would deem a filmmakers twilight years, Eastwood continues to direct and act in critically acclaimed films. To commemorate Eastwood’s birthday and his unstoppable work ethic, we’ll look back on highlights from the star’s six-decade career and Eastwood’s feelings about retirement as he approaches 90.

Whereas some Hollywood greats get their first taste of showbusiness early on in life, Eastwood had to endure the worst years of The Great Depression since he was born on May 31. 1930 in San Francisco, CA. While his family initially traveled and looked for work during this period, they eventually settled in Piedmont, where Eastwood would graduate from high school in 1949, according to

But it wasn’t until after graduating and serving in the military that Eastwood found his way to Los Angeles where he first starred in movies like Revenge of the Creature and Francis in the Navy. Despite landing only minor roles at first, and despite having little acting practice, Eastwood got his big break when he was cast the TV Western Rawhide in 1958, according to

Eastwood’s role as a handsome, no-nonsense cowboy threw the young actor into the spotlight, and from then on he continued to land similar parts in westerns and gritty action films like Dirty Harry in the 1970s.

One of Eastwood’s more modern classics is Million Dollar Baby, which he both directed and starred in as a cantankerous boxing trainer who trains a waitress from the Ozarks to be prize winning athlete. By this time in his career, Eastwood was already 74 years old — for most actors and directors that means retirement. And yet,  Eastwood was still producing excellent work as Million Dollar Baby shows.

Not only did the film win a number of Oscars, as reports — Best Picture and Best Director Academy Awards for Eastwood and Oscars for actors Hilary Swank and Morgan Freeman — but the film also received widespread critical acclaim in the press.

The late film critic Roger Ebert called the film “a masterpiece,” writing that “the film is Eastwood’s 25th film as a director, and his best […The film] finds the simplicity and directness of classical storytelling; it is the kind of movie where you sit very quietly in the theater and are drawn deeply into lives that you care very much about.”

After such a long, prolific career in Hollywood, it’s still tempting to ask whether Eastwood might be thinking about retirement, especially leading up to his 90th birthday. But Eastwood shows no signs of slowing down. In fact, Eastwood’s most recent project was the 2018 crime film The Mule, which the then-88-year-old both directed and starred in. And as recently as January of this year, Eastwood put rumours of his retirement to rest yet again.

“I like doing it, it’s nice to be able to have a paying job,” Eastwood told presenter Alison Hammond on the U.K. TV show This Morning in January. “I like being in films, I like making films and I started directing films because I thought one day I’m going to look up on screen and say, ‘That’s enough Eastwood, you’d better do something else.’ So I thought, ‘If I direct, I can let other people be on screen.’”

And for that, we can be thankful. Who knows? Maybe Eastwood has another masterpiece or two up his sleeve.

Happy birthday, Clint Eastwood! What’s your favorite Eastwood film? Let us know and wish Clint a happy birthday by passing this story on to friends and family members.

Labyrinth Fans Want Tilda Swinton to Replace David Bowie as Jareth in Labyrinth 2

With TriStar Pictures steadily moving forward with their plans for Labyrinth 2, many fans have taken to social media to campaign for Tilda Swinton as the new Goblin King. When Doctor Strange director Scott Derrickson signed on to direct Labyrinth 2 this week, fan discussions ensued online with many wondering who might replace the late David Bowie in his iconic role as Jareth. Before long, Swinton’s name was brought into the conversation, and now the fan interest behind the idea has been quickly picking up steam online.

“So I just learned that a sequel to Labyrinth is being put into production. Putting aside the fact that this makes me feel despair, we can all agree that Tilda Swinton should play Jareth, right?” one big fan of the original tweeted, echoing the thoughts of many others. “Tilda Swinton as Jareth, or I’m out,” another fan bluntly states. Although the recent update on the sequel has brought about an outpouring of fan support for the potential casting of Swinton as Jareth, it’s also apparent some fans have been wanting this for years, as another four-year-old tweet reads: “The ONLY acceptable reboot of Labyrinth would be casting Tilda Swinton as Jareth.”

This week, it was reported that Scott Derrickson will be directing Labyrinth 2 with Maggie Levin penning the screenplay. Lisa Henson of The Jim Henson Company is also on board to produce with Brian Henson executive producing. In the original movie, Connelly co-starred with Bowie as a 16-year-old girl navigating her way through an otherworldly maze to rescue her younger brother. No plot details have yet been revealed about the sequel, and it’s also unclear at this time if producers are planning to bring back Connelly as Sarah Williams.

If the character will be a part of the sequel, casting the new Goblin King just might be the biggest challenge Derrickson and the producers will face with Labyrinth 2. Tilda Swinton isn’t a name that immediately came to mind for me, but I have to admit that it’s a fantastic idea and I really can’t think of anyone who could do better. Because it’s now clear that many of the fans of the original movie are on board with Swinton in the role, hopefully her name will be taken into consideration.

Tilda Swinton and David Bowie have actually shared the screen before, as the former played the latter’s wife in a promotional video for Bowie’s song, “The Stars (Are Out Tonight).” It can only help Swinton in hypothetically taking over his classic role as Jareth if she’s worked with him and gotten to know him on a personal level. Of course, Swinton has experience working with Derrickson as well, as also she appeared in Doctor Strange. All of the right pieces are here for the potential casting to happen, so let’s hope that it does. Courtesy of David Bowie on YouTube, y ou can watch the music video with Swinton and Bowie below, and straight from Twitter, you can also check out some of the fan campaigning for Swinton to become the new Goblin King.

So I just learned that a sequel to LABYRINTH is being put into production.

Putting aside the fact that this makes me feel despair, we can all agree that Tilda Swinton should play Jareth, right?

Tilda Swinton as Jareth, or I’m out.

— Jesse (@chop_on_top)

The ONLY acceptable reboot of Labyrinth would be casting Tilda Swinton as Jareth

— Wash Your Hands Say Yeah! (@mattycurry)

I don’t think there should be a Labyrinth remake. But if there must be one, my vote for Goblin King is Tilda Swinton.

— Eryn (@ErynEarls)

I know people are saying no one can play the #GoblinKing other than David Bowie but what about Tilda Swinton?

— sean brett (@BaconKnight)

At first I was dismayed that there would even be a sequel to Labyrinth without David Bowie. But @scottderrickson knows what he’s doing and imma just put this out there: Tilda Swinton as a Goblin Queen. Yeah? Yeah.

— You Wouldn’t Know Him (@MKP0tter)

Tilda Swinton should be Jareth/Bowie in the new Labyrinth film, or no one. That’s the choice we have.

— Will Riker (@TheHayleighB)

Make Tilda Swinton the new Goblin King in the Labyrinth sequel, you cowards.

— Paul Hagan (@thepaulhagan)

So Tilda Swinton is being cast as Jareth in the #Labyrinth sequel right?

Johnny Cash‘s granddaughter was taunted for wearing a protective face mask while taking an innocent trip to the grocery store.

The late singer’s daughter Rosanne Cash tweeted about the ordeal on Tuesday.

“My daughter lives in Nashville & wore her mask to buy groceries. Guy yells at her: ‘Liberal p—y!'” she tweeted.

Throughout the United States and beyond, citizens are recommended to wear protective gear amid the coronavirus pandemic, with many states and businesses enforcing it. Rosanne furthered that her daughter needs to be especially careful when it comes to COVID-19 because of a scary encounter she once had with a strain of the flu. She did not reveal which one of her daughters this happened to.

“Back story: she nearly died of H1N1. She was in the ICU for a week, on a ventilator for 3 days. She CANNOT get covid. The ignorance & hatred is so painful. She’s trying to survive,” the upset mother added.

Rosanne’s tweet received over 47,000 retweets. She also received comments from friends and followers who agreed.

“Imagine some idiot calling Johnny Cashs granddaughter a p—y. May the ghost of Johnny cash hound him all of his days!!” actress Patricia Arquette tweeted in response.

“Just like your daughter every single one of us are trying to survive. She wears her mask proudly,” another wrote.

Others called the situation “awful” and one thanked Roseanne’s daughter for “being a hero.”

Yusuf / Cat Stevens Tea for the Tillerman 2, Reimagined

LOS ANGELES, May 28, 2020 / —

‘Tillerman Returns to Earth 50 Years Later’

50 years on from the release of 'Tea for the Tillerman,' the 1970 multi-platinum selling, era-defining album that made a superstar, Yusuf / Cat Stevens is set to release 'Tea for the Tillerman²' on September 18th via UMe.

50 YEARS on from the release of Tea for the Tillerman, the 1970 multi-platinum selling, era-defining album that made a superstar, Yusuf / Cat Stevens is set to release Tea for the Tillerman²onSeptember 18th via UMe.

Tea for the Tillerman² sees Yusuf recast the same eleven songs for a new age with dramatic results. Half a century and an entire universe of experiences after they were originally laid down on tape, T4TT² is a beautiful reunion between the artist and the songs that helped define the melodious ’70s. The impact of Tillerman has subtly intertwined with the fabric of popular culture while its songs have magnified and developed a life of their own through their ever-expanding use in film, TV, and numerous reinterpretations by other artists.

The album cover of T4TT² illustrates the same picturesque ‘Tea-Time’ scene that adorned the original album, fifty years later. The Tillerman has returned from an expedition to outer space only to discover a world that has become decidedly darker. The two toddlers, Grady and Timmy, are still playing next to him – this time streaming the latest music and gaming on their mobile phones.

The concept for Tea for the Tillerman² grew out of a conversation, fittingly, between Yusuf and his son about how to celebrate the album’s 50th anniversary. This gave birth to the idea of reimagining and rerecording the songs, and the results speak for themselves. Paul Samwell-Smith was contacted and a week was booked at La Fabrique Studios, in the South of France in the Summer of 2019, close to Saint-Rémy-de-Provence where Van Gogh painted some of his most famous works. The studio itself carries a rich and varied history, having once been a factory for dyeing the prestigious red jackets of Napoleon’s famous Hussars and also being home to one of the largest collections of classic French cinema and vinyl records. Providentially, the whole experience was filmed.

Most of the 11 songs were written by a young 22-year-old Cat Stevens in and around his native Soho habitat at the tail end of the swinging ’60s, but here are sung and played after a lifetime of introspection, development and a fresh perspective. Already viewed as some of the greatest songs of their, or any other, era, they stand on their own merits all over again, whilst reflecting a new shimmering light on the original recordings, amplifying their ongoing relevance and place in the lexicon of great songwriting.

Though my songwriting adventures were never limited to Tillerman, the songs on that album certainly defined me and pointed the way for my mysterious lifes journey. Since those originative sessions in Morgan Studios, Willesden, in 1970, Tillerman has grown and developed its own gravitas and influence on music history and as the soundtrack to so many peoples lives. Like it was destiny waiting to happen, T4TT² feels like the timing of its message has arrived again.

Yusuf / Cat Stevens

Tea for the Tillerman²sees Yusuf reunite with all the key actors from the original album – producer Paul Samwell-Smith and Alun Davies on guitar. They are joined by Bruce Lynch on bass, a member of Yusuf’s band from the mid-70s. Guitarist Eric Appapoulay and multi-instrumentalist Kwame Yeboah on percussion and keys represent Yusuf’s current live band and they are supported by Jim Cregan on guitar and Peter Vettese on keys. The session was engineered by David Hefti who has contributed to Yusuf’s sound live and in the studio for close to ten years.

Fifty years on from their inception, the songs on T4TT² sonically resonate again, as loud today as ever. The album speaks anew of concern for the natural world and examines some of our most profound relationships, generation to generation, underpinned by a longing for spiritual union in an unpredictable and increasingly broken materialistic world. Yusuf / Cat Stevens’ life and career have seen him walk a boundless path and yet the central humanity of his message has remained consistent, radiating a warm and comforting musical accompaniment to the search for peace and understanding between peoples, and in harmony with nature. These permanent values vibrate not only through Yusuf’s music but can also be seen in his altruistic endeavors, such as his ongoing Peace Train project

At this most volatile and uncertain time, such values are entirely deserving of representation and with Tea for the Tillerman² a whole new generation will discover this album all over again. As T.S. Eliot once wrote:

We shall not cease from exploration, and the end of all our exploring will be to arrive where we started and know the place for the first time.

Born to a musical family in Houston, Texas, Mandrell began playing the accordion and reading sheet music before she could read words. By age eleven, she was a prodigy on the steel guitar, which prompted her father to take her to a music trade show in Chicago. Her performance caught the attention of legendary country guitarists, Chet Atkins and “Uncle” Joe Maphis. It was her first foray into the music industry, and the beginning of a storied, successful, 38-year career. After her landmark performance at a trade show, Maphis invited Mandrell to join his show at the Showboat Hotel in Las Vegas. It became one of the single greatest influences on her musicianship, and by the time she was a teenager, Mandrell was touring with The Johnny Cash Show, which included high-profile guests such as Patsy Cline, George Jones and June Carter. Mandrell’s career took off in Nashville, and she scored her first hit with a remake of Otis Redding’s classic “I’ve Been Loving You Too Long.” That single put her on the charts and set the stage for a succession of No.1 hits that skyrocketed her to the forefront of country music stardom with songs such as “Sleeping Single in a Double Bed,” “(If Loving You is Wrong) I Don’t Want to Be Right” and “I Was Country When Country Wasn’t Cool.” In 1980, the Country Music Association named Mandrell Entertainer of the Year. At the time, she was only the third woman to have ever won the title. She earned that accolade again in 1981, an unprecedented honor only recently replicated by Taylor Swift. An array of accolades from the Country Music Association, Academy of Country Music, Grammy Awards, American Music Awards and People’s Choice Awards followed, making her one of the most awarded country acts in history. She is a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame, Musicians Hall of Fame and the Grand Ole Opry.

‘Usman Wanted To Marry Me But I Refused,’ Reveals Actress Uzma Khan

Pakistani actress Uzma Khan held a press conference in Lahore on Thursday on the recent harassment incident that she and her sister had to face. After filing an FIR against Malik Riaz’s family, she opened up but her side of the story in detail during the scheduled media talk.

Uzma and her lawyers claimed the women involved in the incident were the daughters of the real-estate tycoon, Malik Riaz. While Riaz himself has denied being associated with the matter in any way.

In the press conference today, Lawyer Main Ali Ashfaq represented Uzma Khan and Huma Khan as well as barrister Hassaan Niazi. He answered all the media questions on Uzma’s behalf.

‘Usman proposed to me but I refused to marry him’

Uzma revealed she and Usman were friends for two years but they were not on talking terms since December 2019.

“His family is also aware of it and I have evidence to prove that Usman was constantly contacting me after December 2019. He proposed to me and I denied. Amna or anyone else in her family has never contacted me before 23rd May [the day of the incident]. Usman is still calling and texting me and I will give evidence in court,” Uzma shared.

Uzma also said she never met Amna before in her entire life. Although Amna claimed in a video message that she warned Uzma several times to stay away from her husband.

Also, Uzma claimed Usman’s wife made her accept all the accusations against her at gunpoint.

The claim that the house where I live belongs to Usman is wrong: Uzma

Uzma’s lawyer said Amna Malik’s claim that the house where Uzma and her family lives belonged to her husband was bogus. “We will be providing proof of the rental agreement to the police which is signed by Uzma’s friend Babar Nasim who is not at all related to Usman or his family.”

“Threatening with violence and intent to harm with arms is another non-bailable offense with 10 years imprisonment. Amna has accepted in her video that she barged into the house. You can see the violence and threats in the video as well. Both these crimes are punishable but so far no arrests have been made,” Mian Ashfaq added.

However, after all the fuss, now Amna Malik is seeking a divorce from Usman Malik.

Since videos went viral of a gang of women who broke into actress Uzman Khan’s house and caused havoc for allegedly having an affair with a man called Usman Malik, social media has been up and arms about the whole incident.

Many Usmans have been targetted for the same incident, however, Barrister Khadija Siddiqui has shared a cleared image of the accused Usman.

This is the usman involved in the incident, kindly refrain from tagging and bullying other people who share the same name!#UsmanMalik

Kimmel Jokes About Trump’s Twitter Feud With Twitter Over Vote-By-Mail – Rolling Stone

Jimmy Kimmel joked about President Donald Trump’s Twitter feud with Twitter after the social media site flagged one of his missives about voter fraud with a fact-check disclaimer.

Trump sent out the tweet in question on Tuesday, claiming without any evidence that mail-in ballots — which are being touted as a reasonable alternative to in-person voting in light of ongoing COVID-19 concerns — would lead to massive voter fraud. Twitter, in turn, for the first time ever, dropped a note at the bottom of Trump’s tweet that read “Get the facts about mail-in ballots” and linked to articles disproving the president’s claims.

“I guess this is good,” Kimmel deadpanned, “but do we really need Twitter to tell us our fake president tweets fake things?”

In response to the disclaimer, Trump unleashed a tirade against Twitter, accusing the social media site of meddling in the 2020 election. “If Twitter had a sense of humor, they would’ve labeled that tweet as misleading, too,” Kimmel quipped, before adding, “I guess it was only a matter of time before Donald Trump would be in a Twitter feud with Twitter.”

Kimmel did, however, stress just how concerning Trump’s attacks on mail-in ballots are, suggesting he’s laying the groundwork to claim he was cheated if he loses in November. Top Trump adviser Kellyanne Conway also picked up this thread, saying in an interview that people shouldn’t be concerned about waiting in crowded lines to vote in-person if they’re happy to wait in line for a cupcake.

“She won big points with President Sprinkles on that one,” Kimmel cracked. “Voting in-person and cupcakes — that’s as close as he gets to a threesome nowadays.”

Choir Boy – Gathering Swans

Label: Dais Records

Formats: Colour LP, Colour LP, LP, CD, MP3, WAV, FLAC

Salt Lake City’s indie pop favorites Choir Boy return after four years with the release of their new cosmic album, Gathering Swans. An emotionally powerful record, full of poignant heartbreak and gently steeped in pop nostalgia, Choir Boy push their distinctive sound further, while tenderly romancing the unsuspected.

“Since the release of their well-received 2016 debut Passive With Desire, of which Slug Magazine’s Erin Moore declares to be “…packed with songs that are infectious by way of their sound, as well as their emotion…”, and their 2018 single “Sunday Light”, the band evolved from singer Adam Klopp’s project accompanied by a rotating cast of players into a solidified, permanent lineup featuring long-time collaborator and bassist Chaz Costello, saxophonist and keyboardist Jeff Kleinman, and guitarist Michael Paulsen. Following a series of tours with such notable acts as Cold Cave, Snail Mail, and Ceremony, Choir Boy began writing their new album. Proving to be a worthy successor, Gathering Swans builds upon Choir Boy’s infectiousness with unique pop sensibilities and impeccable polish.

The first single, Complainer, demonstrates Klopp’s angelic voice effortlessly floating within the heart-wrenchingly somber melodies, that in a tender state, will surely render tears. Lyrically, the song poses a form of wounded optimism, declaring “Oh my life, what a pitiful thing to hear…But it’s not that bad…I’m just a complainer”. Tracks such as Toxic Eye undoubtedly present the touching “choralpop” sound that has come to be a hallmark of Choir Boy. Repetitious, layered vocal hooks that fade into the background, allowing the absence between breaths to be filled with the serene melody that embodies the foundation of Choir Boy’s appeal, demonstrating that the ethereal moments between the bright choruses and memorable hooks are as equally crucial and unforgettable as the lyrical content itself. A slightly more solemn ballad, Eat The Frog, skillfully adapts Choir Boy’s taste for nostalgia and translates such desire into a fully mature statement. The propulsive drive behind Eat The Frog possesses the emotional equivalent to sitting atop a hillside, just outside of the city, gazing at the sunset on a warm Summer night.

Creative, sincere, passionate and glaring with intention, Gathering Swans paints a bright, hopeful, and deeply heartfelt image that will most assuredly attract anyone who accompanies Choir Boy upon their journey.”
