Green Acres star Tom Lester has passed away at age 81 after suffering complications from Parkinson’s disease.

The actor died at the Nashville home of his fiancee and longtime caregiver, Jackie, on Monday morning, TMZ reports.

From 1965 to 1971, Lester played farmhand Eb Dawson on the hit sitcom Green Acres.

Lester was the last surviving regular cast member of Green Acres, which followed a couple moving from New York City and onto a farm.

On top of Green Acres, Lester played Eb in the Petticoat Junction and The Beverly Hillbillies.

In addition to his long-time role on Green Acres, Lester made appearances on a number of other hit shows including Little House on the Prairie, Knight Rider, and the soap opera Santa Barbara.

Lester was also on the big screen.

He played Riley in Benji, the film about the heroic stray dog, and also appeared in the 1994 comedy about a talking pig, Gordy.

Hit show: From 1965 to 1971, Lester played farmhand Eb Dawson on the sitcom Green Acres

More recently he starred in the 2014 film Campin’ Buddies, which follows the antics of two ‘backwoods amigos.’

Lester became a born-again Christian at age 10 and continued enjoying life on the farm in his later years, even winning Wildlife Farmer of the Year in 1997, according to The Hollywood Reporter

Originally from Laurel, Mississippi, where he was raised on his grandfather’s farm, Lester had big dreams for Hollywood.

But not everyone in town thought he could make it.

Legacy: Lester was the last surviving regular cast member of Green Acres, which followed a couple moving from New York City and onto a farm

‘I told them I was going out to Hollywood to become an actor and they all said, “You’re crazy,”‘ he remembered in an interview with Faith Forward

‘You’ll never be able to do that. You’re too tall, too skinny, too ugly. You’ve got a Southern accent and you’ll never make it in the motion picture business. You don’t look like Rock Hudson.’

The criticism discouraged him from heading to Los Angeles.

Making it big: Lester ultimately moved to Los Angeles and beat out 400 other actors for the role of Eb on Green acres

He set aside his acting dreams and attended college, with a goal of becoming a doctor.

Lester was finally persuaded to follow his dreams after reading an article on Don Knotts, who didn’t let his looks get in the way of a showbiz career.

‘I read an article once where they asked Don Knotts who was Barney Fife on The Andy Griffith Show, “How in the world did you ever get into movies?” Because he didn’t look anything at all like Rock Hudson. And he said, “I figure everybody in Hollywood was good-looking and had a good physique. I figure they needed somebody a little different.” And he was,’ he said.

Makeup-free Kylie Jenner looks unrecognizable as she pays a visit to BFF Stassie’s house | Daily Mail Online

Last month Kylie Jenner urged her 171 million Instagram followers to stay home to help flatten the curve in the fight against COVID-19.

But the cosmetics mogul ignored her own advice on Sunday as she was spotted out in Beverly Hills paying a visit to her pal Stassie Karanikolaou.

Fresh-faced Kylie, 22, looked almost unrecognizable as she bared her super smooth complexion and wore her shoulder length natural hair tied back in a casual bun.

Is that you, Kylie? Kylie Jenner looked almost unrecognizable as she stepped out to see pal Stassie on Sunday despite urging her fans to stay home amid the coronavirus pandemic

Billionaire beauty queen: Kylie’s look on Sunday was in dramatic contrast to her glammed-up Instagram looks (right)

Gone was her sun-kissed glow and tumbling thick glossy locks fans are used to seeing on Instagram.

Kylie looked relaxed and happy and appeared to be enjoying her off-duty look, despite the lack of contouring, bold lipstick and dramatic eye-shadow.

So casual was Kylie that she didn’t bother with socks and shoes as she hopped in her toffee colored Mercedes G-Wagon.

The mother-of-one was photographed wearing tie-dye sweats and walking barefoot to her car with a bag of salt and vinegar kettle chips under her arm.

Last month the Lip Kit creator was urged by the US Surgeon General to use her influence to tell young people to stay home and help them understand how serious the coronavirus is.

Jerome M. Adams asked celebrities such as Kylie, who have massive social media followings, to speak up in order to educate teenagers and millennials on the importance of social distancing and self-isolation during the pandemic.

Kylie responded by tweeting: ‘I hope everyone is feeling well! it’s so important right now to self quarantine to ensure we aren’t endangering ourselves or anyone who can’t handle this virus.’

She then made numerous posts on her Instagram stories about the importance of staying home.

Meanwhile, Kylie has been leaning on her ex-boyfriend Travis Scott amid the coronavirus pandemic.

The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star and the 27-year-old rapper – who have two-year-old daughter Stormi together – split last year, but have been spending more time together in recent months, with several rumors swirling about a possible reconciliation.

And now, sources have claimed Kylie has been relying on Travis to keep her company amid the global health crisis, as she can’t see her siblings in person due to the new social distancing regulations.

She misses her friend: Kylie spent a while saying goodbye to her best pal

See ya! Stassie stood on her porch as she said farewell to her pal in the upscale neighborhood of Beverly Hills

One insider said: ‘Kylie really misses her sisters and her nieces and nephews, but it’s been nice having Travis around so much. He has been at Kylie’s house and they have been doing a lot of family stuff.’

The source also claims the former couple, who are staying at Kylie’s Hidden Hills mansion, are ‘in a groove’ when it comes to co-parenting, and ‘love their little family life together’.

They added to E! News: ‘Things are good between Kylie and Travis. They are co-parenting and in a groove. They love being a family together and watching Stormi who constantly amazes them and make them laugh. They love their little family life together.’

Without her twin: Kylie and Stassie are normally inseparable and regularly coordinate their outfits for sultry social media snaps

Meghan Markle Appears On Good Morning America To Speak About Narrating Disneynature’s Elephant Documentary

Meghan Markle Appears On Good Morning America To Speak About Narrating Disneynature’s Elephant Documentary

Meghan Markle made her very first official TV appearance since she and her husband officially stepped back as Senior Royals in a segment for Good Morning America.

The segment, which aired earlier today, featured clips of Markle in a pre-recorded interview from 2019 in which she discusses the Disney biopic. Elephant, which she narrated.

Markle explained why the biopic is one close to her heart.

“I’m really grateful to have the opportunity to be a part of bringing this story of elephants to life,” she said.

“I’ve been very lucky to be able to have hands-on experience with elephants in their natural habitat. When you spend time connecting with them and other wildlife, you really understand we have a role to play in their preservation and their safety.”

She continued by calling the animals “majestic” and “sensitive” and spoke about their incredible memory. She also touched on how they are very close to their herd and family – something that might just make them more similar to humans than we think.

“I hope that when people see this film, they realise how connected we all are and if we had more of awareness about the obstacles we’re facing, I think we’d take care of each other, this planet and animals, in a very different way,” Markle added.

Earlier in 2020, it was revealed that Meghan Markle had narrated a biopic film for Disney, which was released in early April. According to Hello, the former-Royal agreed to narrate the film in exchange for a donation to the charity Elephants Without Borders.

The recording was completed in Fall last year after she was approached by filmmakers Mark and Vanessa Berlowitz to be part of the project. Markle had reportedly been aware of the documentary for years and was thus thought to be a perfect fit for the role.

Markle and her husband, Prince Harry, along with their son, Archie have been living in Los Angeles as of recent. The couple has been helping where they can amid the Coronavirus pandemic by volunteering with Project Angel Food, a non-profit organization, as they deliver food to the less fortunate in West Hollywood.

Last week, Markle also caught up with her pals at Hubb Kitchen in London, a project she has been part of since their cookbook launch in 2017 via video chat.

See Photo of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Holding Hands and Delivering Meals in LA

Paparazzi got a rare glimpse of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry out in their new home city of Los Angeles on Friday. The couple was photographed out in masks while delivering meals in the California city for Project Angel Food. The two were dressed casually and showed a little PDA, holding hands. Meghan and Harry have never been shy about being affectionate, even during the royal engagements they did before they stepped back from their senior royal family roles at the beginning of this month.

Meghan wore a black three-quarter sleeved top with khaki pants and a white mask. Harry, meanwhile, wore a blue bandana as a face covering with a gray polo and dark jeans.

The couple’s involvement with Project Angel Food, which delivers meals to people living with critical illnesses including HIV/AIDs, cancer, kidney failure, diabetes and congestive heart disease, was first reported last week by local publication WEHOville.

Project Angel Food Director Richard Ayoub told the publication that Meghan and Harry “wanted to help us relieve some of the drivers from their workload. So they made deliveries in West Hollywood today. It’s really, really amazing. We loved having them and they are the most down-to-earth people.”

He later told The Huffington Post that Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland, who also lives in LA, suggested they get involved with the organization. They toured the organization’s facilities, Ayoub said: “They were just genuinely compassionate, interested individuals who came to visit the kitchens. [They were] extremely engaged with every single person they met.”

Pierce Brosnan Wants to Return in a Future James Bond Movie as a Villain

Pierce Brosnan is open to coming back to the James Bond franchise, but as a villain instead of the iconic MI6 agent. Brosnan played Bond in four movies beginning with 1995’s Goldeneye and certainly has a big place in the history of the long-running series. But the idea of him returning to the franchise, in a completely different capacity, as a foe to a new actor’s Bond, would undoubtedly be wandering into uncharted territory.

Recently, the 66-year-old actor participated in a live watch party for Goldeneye. During the event, he answered a few fan questions. At one point, Pierce Brosnan was asked if he would return as a villain in a future Bond movie. Here’s what Brosnan had to say about it.

For the most part, Pierce Brosnan has talked about his time as Bond with a great deal of affection, and during the watch party he attributed the sustained success in his career to the role. So it’s not too surprising that he would consider returning, albeit in a very different capacity. The big question is, could something like this truly work within the scope of James Bond? That is a far more difficult question to answer, as it would be unprecedented.

Sean Connery, George Lazenby, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton, Daniel Craig and Pierce Brosnan have all played James Bond, but none of them have returned for another major role during another actor’s tenure. There were alleged discussions for Sean Connery to return in Skyfall as the keeper of Bond’s family home, but that didn’t come to pass. Not that Bond is averse to tongue-in-cheek moments, but would it be too distracting to have someone so synonymously associated with the role portraying a villain? It’s hard to say. Though, on the surface, getting to see a different side of Brosnan in that universe could be intriguing.

When Goldeneye was released in 1995, it had been six years since Bond had graced the screen in Timothy Dalton’s final entry, License to Kill. The franchise had rarely faced such pressure to deliver, but Pierce Brosnan’s debut proved to be a huge hit, both critically and commercially. That paved the way for three more Brosnan-led entries, Tomorrow Never Dies, The World is Not Enough and Die Another Day. Collectively, they grossed more than $1.4 billion at the global box office. For a time, Quentin Tarantino considered directing a Pierce Brosnan James Bond movie, but that never came to pass.

Daniel Craig then picked up the torch with 2006’s Casino Royale. Craig is set to end his run with No Time to Die, which is set to arrive later this year. At that point, it will once again be time for a new actor to take up the 007 mantle. That means it will be time for a new villain as well. Maybe, just maybe, that villain should/could be played by Pierce Brosnan. Feel free to check out the full Goldeneye commentary for yourself. This news comes to us via Esquire.
