Nicole Kidman sparks reaction as she reveals natural hair in new photo | HELLO!

Nicole Kidman more often than not straightens her hair for red carpet events, but during the coronavirus lockdown, the star has been embracing her natural look while self-isolating at home. The Big Little Lies actress has gorgeous beach curl waves and caused quite the reaction after sharing a photo of herself on Instagram this week. The star’s fans were quick to compliment her appearance, with one writing: “Love the curls, they are gorgeous,” while another wrote: “Embracing the curls!” A third added: “Your curls are so glorious”! Over time, Nicole has experimented with various lengths and hair colours, including auburn, strawberry-blonde and blonde.

Nicole Kidman’s natural hair is gorgeous!

In more recent years, Nicole has been trying to cut down on using straighteners as she was concerned about losing her iconic spiral curls. The star admitted that she wanted to achieve what she considered to be the “Aussie beach girl” stereotype. “I really wanted to have that suntanned skin and long blonde hair,” she told Australia’s Who magazine. The mother-of-four also told Refinery 29: “I had that hair. I shouldn’t have abused my hair. I loved that hair. What was I thinking? I’m working on getting that hair again.”

The star’s fans were full of compliments about her curls

The Others actress is currently self-isolating in Nashville with husband Keith Urban and their daughters Sunday, 11, and Faith, nine. Keith has been trying to lift his fans’ spirits up during this uncertain time, and has been putting on weekly concerts via video link, performing from their home music studio. Nicole has been at each virtual show, dancing and cheering on the singer.

Nicole and Keith have been enjoying spending quality time with their children during the lockdown, as they put a pause on their busy lives. The family often travel between Nashville and London, and also have a property in Australia. While they tend to keep their daughters out of the spotlight, The Hours actress previously gave an insight into Sunday and Faith’s upbringing during an interview with Marie Claire. “I have a very sort of quiet life, I suppose. I try to live a soulful, artistic life. [This means] trying to raise my daughters in a really conscious, present way. Time becomes so precious as you get older,” she said.

Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez’s wedding plans scuppered by coronavirus | HELLO!

Jennifer Lopez got engaged to former MLB player Alex Rodriguez in March 2019 and has confirmed that their wedding plans have been affected by the coronavirus pandemic.

During an interview as part of Ellen DeGeneres‘ at-home show, J Lo said their big day would probably have happened “any day now” and, when asked if coronavirus had had an impact, she added, “Actually, it did affect it a little bit, so we will see what happens now. Honestly, I really don’t know what’s going to happen now, as far as dates or anything like that. We’re just kind of in a holding pattern like the rest of the world. It’s something that we’ll have to wait and see in a few months, how this all pans out.”

The interview also discussed homeschooling

Previously, the couple have revealed little detail on their nuptials but, between Alex hinting that it would be a “long flight” away, and Jennifer sharing posts of what looked like a wedding spot on a white beach and tagging Alex, fans believed that the pair were planning a destination wedding. It is also likely that 2020 was set to be their year since J Lo was busy filming Hustlers and preparing her Super Bowl performance alongside Shakira in 2019.

Alex proposed to Jennifer in the Caribbean

However long they have to hold off for, it sounds like Jennifer and Alex are happy as long as they are together. At Oprah Winfrey’s 2020 Vision Tour in February, Jennifer said, “Alex is like, ‘Whatever you want to do, we can talk about it.’ I said, ‘But if we’re going to be together for the rest of our lives, what is the rush?’ That’s what we’re really going to do, if we’re really going to be partners.”

US folk singer-songwriter John Prine dies aged 73

Folk singer John Prine has died at the age of 73 due to complications from coronavirus.

The singer-songwriter, one of the most influential figures in US folk and country music, had been in a critical condition after contracting Covid-19.

He died on Tuesday at a hospital in Nashville, Tennessee, his management said. The cause of death was complications from the virus, they added.

Two-time Grammy winner Prine had been in hospital since last month and his wife and manager, Fiona, said on March 17 that she had tested positive for coronavirus after they returned from a European tour.

Country music singer Margo Price was among those to pay tribute to Prine, who Rolling Stone called “one of America’s greatest songwriters”.

She tweeted: “It hurts so bad to read the news. I am gutted. My hero is gone. My friend is gone. We’ll love you forever John Prine.”

Oscar-winning filmmaker Taika Waititi said: “RIP John Prine. This sucks.”

Actress Rosanna Arquette shared a playlist of Prine’s music and wrote: “God bless you John Prine rest in power.”

Key Lime Slime Twinkies | Braman’s Wanderings

Next week the new Ghostbusters movie will be showing in theaters.

Hostess has Limited Edition Ghostbuste movie themed Twinkies in the stores, so I had to check them out.

Key Lime Slime Twinkies, Ghostbusters, Hostess, Flavored TwinkiesI vaguely remember seeing that there was going to be a remake of Ghostbusters with an all female team, but didn’t realize it was coming soon until I saw the Twinkies.

The box reminds me of some of the Halloween themed CupCakes that Hostess has had in the last few years.

I do like the name of Key Lime Slime Twinkies.

Key Lime Twinkies, Twinkies Flavors, Hostess, ghostbustersWhen I opened the box I got my first glimpse of the Twinkies and could see that they were indeed filled with green creamy filling.

Twinkies, Movie Tie In, Ghostbusters, key lime flavor, hostessWhen you look at the Twinkie from the top it looks like any other Twinkie.

Ghostbusters, Twinkies, Key Lime Flavor, Cream FillingHere is a closer look at the bottom of one of the Twinkies to show the injection points for the Key Lime Slime filling.

Key Lime Slime Twinkies, Ghost Busters, Twinkies Flavors, HostessOf course the key question is how do they taste. The filling definitely has a Key Lime taste to it. Other than that it is just a classic Twinkie.

Have you seen some of the other Twinkies Flavors?

This one reminds me of the Orange S’Cream Twinkies that were in stores a couple of years ago for Halloween.

I am debating whether to go see the movie or not. The original Ghostbusters is a classic and I am not sure if I want to see a remake. I definitely will not see it in the theater, but perhaps if it is showing on one of the flights I take later this year I may watch it.

Would you eat a Key Lime Slime Twinkie?

Alan Pattillo obituary | Film | The Guardian

My great-uncle Alan Pattillo, who has died aged 90, was a director, film editor, script editor and screenwriter. After joining the film industry in the 1950s, his varied career spanned films such as Walkabout (1971), All Quiet on the Western Front (1979) – for which he won an Emmy award – Gandhi (1982), and Gerry and Sylvia Anderson’s Supermarionation productions. He directed the first episode of Thunderbirds (1965), setting the template for what was to become a global cult hit.

Alan was born in Aberdeen, the second son of Gladys (nee Glennie), who worked for an insurance company, and William Pattillo, company secretary at the local newspaper, the Aberdeen Press and Journal. He was educated at Robert Gordon’s college in Aberdeen, then read English at Aberdeen University.

In the mid-50s he went on to study Russian at Cambridge University – his contribution to national service – and was enrolled in the Joint Services School for Linguists, which was dubbed “a school for spies” by Russia. Shortly afterwards, having made it known at Cambridge that he was interested in a career in films, he was taken on by the Hungarian-born British film director and screenwriter Alexander Korda as his assistant.

His collaboration with the Andersons began in 1965 and was to last a decade – he directed four episodes of Thunderbirds, was script editor for 25 others, wrote one of the best-known episodes, Attack of the Alligators, and was director for four other series: Four Feathers Falls (starring Nicholas Parsons), Supercar, Fireball XL5 and Terrahawks.

He also wrote an episode for The Avengers (starring Diana Rigg), was sound editor on Performance and Walkabout (directed by Nicolas Roeg), edited the sound effects for Pink Floyd’s The Wall, was film editor on All Quiet on the Western Front, and was associate editor on Gandhi.

Witty and gregarious, Alan had a knack for extracting people’s life stories – and after he retired in the early 90s he began researching his own history, in a genealogy project that took him around Scotland and the US.

He lived in London throughout his career, but in 2002 he was drawn back to Scotland. His homes were filled with books, pictures, social gatherings and his accomplished piano-playing. To adapt Alan’s own words about his friend Christine Glanville, the puppeteer: “He aspired to make his life larger and more spectacular.”

He is survived by his brother, John.

New Hasbro The Mandalorian Black Series Figure & More on the Way /Film

Last week, Hasbro celebrated Star Wars Fan Appreciation Day, because every single day is a new chance for the population at large to be marketed to by major corporations. Thankfully, we’re Star Wars fans, and the announcement of new Star Wars Black Series figures is an exciting one, especially when they include a new version of The Mandalorian in Beskar armor, the respected Admiral Ackbar, a fierce Ewok warrior, and a slick carbonized version of a beloved character from The Empire Strikes Back.

The Mandalorian Black Series Action Figure

Just before The Mandalorian arrived on Disney+, the first wave of merchandising from the live-action Star Wars series arrived in stores along with the first action figures from Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. But it seemed Hasbro didn’t properly anticipate demand for the Black Series figures associated with the series, because nearly all of them have been extremely difficult to find, especially Mando himself. But hopefully that will change with this new version of the bounty hunter.

Unlike the first version of The Mandalorian Black Series figure, this one comes with shiny new Beskar armor. It’s a much cleaner version of the character, and he still comes with all the appropriate weaponry. Unfortunately, there’s no two-pack that comes with The Child known as Baby Yoda, but you can still buy the little guy separately.

Admiral Ackbar and Teebo Join the Black Series

Two characters from Return of the Jedi are getting their due diligence as Black Series figures. Admiral Ackbar joins the line, looking like his back has been seriously injured in the promotional photo above. Meanwhile, the Ewok known as Teebo is clearly not in the mood for dealing with any Stormtrooper crap, so don’t mess with that dude.

New Carbonized Boba Fett and Stormtrooper

Finally, after first being introduced on Triple Force Friday last fall, the carbonized variant line of Black Series figures is getting two new additions this year, and they should be infinitely easier to find than that initial wave, especially since they’re both available for pre-order over at Big Bad Toy Store right now.

Boba Fett is easily the coolest of the two new carbonized figures. Much like The Mandalorian carbonized figure released last year as a Target exclusive (which now goes for a 400% mark-up on the retail price), the armor looks slick with that metallic shine. Meanwhile, the Stormtrooper still looks pretty cool, but it would have been much better if they made a Captain Phasma figure with the carbonized paint style instead.
